I've been working on an SWG tailoring site for a few days - SWGCraft is a great site, and I'm not looking to make a site to compete for that type of resource, but more a site with catalogues of images, guides to tailoring, a place for people to trade/sell resources etc etc.

What I'm looking for is submitted material - I pretty much have the site ready to roll but it obviously requires a lot of content to be useful. So I could use the following:

CLOTHING IMAGES
---------------

I'm looking for models wearing clothing from each line. I've done some of these myself, but other colors are always good too. If you can make nice clothes, please:

Get someone to model them.
Go into first person mode, zoom in so the person fills the screen
Hit print screen to take a screenshot

Please make sure none of the user interface covers up any part of the person, and don't put your cursor on them.

If you want to submit some images, please save them in a *lightly or uncompressed format* (PNG would be fine) and either email them *zipped* to [email protected] (no files over 5 megs please) or (preferably) upload them somewhere (www.geocities.com for example) and email me the link. If possible, it would help if you could include a description telling the clothing name of everything being worn in each image, and if you like, the models name, and yours.

GUIDES
------

Not a lot to write about tailoring guide-wise that hasn't been covered, but if you can write a good guide for tailoring regarding resource collection, harvester/factory running, grinding, making money and not grinding - anything - let me know!

For those of you that want to preview it beforehand (and help me get the bugs out of the publishing system) it's currently at http://zero.xa.net/~shirow/swgtailor/public_html - I'll have a real domain name pointing to it shortly, but that's where it's at for now.

Not much there yet, but I know the system still has some bugs, so if someone wants to mess around with it for a while it'd be cool.

OK, I registered the domain, so it will be up this weekend.

PLEASE get this site up quickly. I've spent almost all day trying to find tailors with samples or shops with no luck and haven't been able to find any images either. I want to vastly improve my wardrobe but have no idea what is out there and available to me. Great idea here and please hurry!

Velveeta, question would it be more useful for us to take a screenshot at the point where both the item and the color palette are on the screen? to me its more useful for the customer to be able to see the color palette and the item togehter so that we don't have to guess which shade of blue they want. i think it would give a clearer picture of the clothing item than if its on a model. anyway thats what i had planned on doing for a catalog.

Would it be feasible to have screenshots taken at the color selection step? That way people can see what colours are allowed on which items. Or group Items by color selection. Sounds like a lot of work to me

I Plan on doing something similar for my personal use ths evening & weekend and i once i upload a few pics of individual items as well as 'outfits' etc i will throw you a URL and feel free to use whatever pics you wish.

I only have novice tailor atm though. hopefully that will change soon (concentrating on Casual and Formal wear, other people have fieldwear well and truly covered)

I just need to hire some models now i think since im a little bothan andd most people wont get a lot of joy out of seeing the gear on a bothan...
Im sure paying entertainers with the clothes i get them to model will cover it. hehe

Yeah, color selection step is possible, the downside I see is what tailoring level do you take them at? Unless I have shots for tailoring 1 2 3 4 which is gonna be TONS of screenshots

I would guess Tailoring 4, to show all possibilities- and then again at master when we get our 55 other colours back

Any masters want to help collect screenies? I'm not there for a week at least......
