Hiyas
I have an alt char I've almost got to master tailor and Im trying to think of another profession to add to her that would be a good match. My Main Char. , Hebi, is a Master Doc/TKM with some scouting so I can use her to keep my new alt well supplied with hides. I was thinking of making this car purely crafting...but might want to do dance with her as well. What other professions do you have with your tailors? I plan on keeping tailor a very long time!

GGRRRRR my bloody post has gone, I did a spell check and POOF!!!!!
What I was saying is Merchant i think is a good prof to go with any crafting profession. It give the following extras:
Extar Vendor Types
Place more vendors
Increase the vendor limit for stock
Use a Barker module in a droid
Get a 10% reduction in the Maintenance for your House/Shop
Get a 10% reduction in the Maintenance for your harvies
Get a 10% reduction in the Maintenance for your Vendors
Place your Vendors on the Planetary map
Get 4 types of shop signs.
Add an entry fee to your house/shop
The %'s might be wrong this is just from the top of my head.
Other may think differently but I think Merchant is the best for any Crafter to have.

hi Hebi
(was once ainianu on valcyn
)
Image designer
Merchant
Bio Engineer
Chef
Would be 4 possiblilites to go with tailor. For a long time i had tailor/ID with enough merchant to get by, may be able to master it now though at the same time as ID, not sure.

here's my template, which i really love:
Master Artisan
Master Tailor
Master Weaponsmith
and i've dumped all remaining skill points into merchant.
with this template, i can have 7 vendors, so i've got:
Teero's Fine Fashions (non BE clothing)
BE Clothing by Teero (BE clothing)
Cheap Resources by Teero (2cpu resources)
Weapons by Teero (sliced weaponry)
Teero's Fine Art (looted and crafted art)
Teero's Stolen Goods (assorted loot)
and another branch of Teero's Fine Fashions which will soon be moving to a new location.
With this template, i've got great surveying skills, so i do a ton of resource harvesting. Also with the efficiency tree of merchant, my maintenance costs are very low. Weaponsmith gives me something else fun to craft, and can be a huge money-maker if you have the time to devote to it.

My sig says it all. I started my alt mainly because I needed to get out of the shop sometimes so I wouldn't burn myself out just crafting. But it was just logical to pick up BE so not only could I then supply my own hides but I could make all my own tissues as well. So far it's worked great.

when i started this second toon, i was shooting for Master Tailor Master Droid Engineer, but i just didn't like droids, so i dropped it for Weaponsmith. I later found out that Rodians get a +5 or +10 weapon assembly species bonus, so that was a little added bonus for me.

Let's see...done Master Artisan/Tailor, ID/Tailor, Merchant/Tailor, TKM/Tailor, Rifle/Tailor and currently Dancer/Tailor. It all really depends on what you want to do. I have a 0004 Artisan/TKM/2040 Ranger to supply Cosma though so that helps

I have Master Tailor/Master Merchant/Master Architect on my Tailor char. I think Architect fits in nicely because of the furniture. (Which is all I make.) That way you can dress someone up and decorate their home.

You can always add ID to your skillset, makes for the fullservice "new look" provider.... other than that maybe master artisan and dip into some of the other crafting elites and start a subcomponent business... But tailoring is great

Hebi-chan I would go with Master ID so you can do a complete change of looks for the person. Not to mention enough Merchant to sell your wares!!!.
The other thing you can do is go Armorsmith and make Fashion Padded armor with merchant and then you would make everysingle kind of clothing article known to SWG
