I don't mind making black, I get a lot of credits for making black. But today somebody walked into my shop and wanted an all pink outfit! He was a male too, lol. I was happy to make him a pink gunman's duster, pink uniform boots, pink paramilitary pants and a pink grenadiers belt. Anyways, just thought I'd let you guys know.

My character wears all black (black work pants, simple shirt, casual jacket, boots, and gloves) because I wear all black IRL (A habit which is a throwback from my more juvenille "goth" days, heh)..but after seeing how many people are doing the black thing, I'm currently trying to develop an outfit with multiple colors. Just haven't been able to figure something out that I like yet.

I'm personally glad I switched from black to my Hoth White duds, snappy.

I blame this one on cause and effect. The only thing I see people wearing is black. So as a novice tailor the only clothes I make are going to be black. Has anyone actually tried selling clothes of other colors?

I seldom do black except for boots unless I get requests for them. I like tan, brown, blue, burgundy, white, pink, some greens etc. I try to toss out different shades on the same item at the same time to give options. If someone sees something of mine and wants a different color, no problem. At least they know there are other colors available. I just wish we had more true colors and not so many "almost" colors. Clik on a pale blue and you get almost white etc. If it shows pale blue, make the darn thing be pale blue.

As a novice tailor with still no boxes, i always wear white and make my friends wear white it looks very nice, and you can see the details of the clothes.

Btw, what do you think is the best item for getting tailor xp? currently i am always crafting ribbed shirts because they dont need any components like fasteners or synth cloth.

I made 9 cloaks the other day and put them all on the bazaar, 3 black, 3 white adn 3 brown, I just checked earlier and all but 3 have sold - all brown, I guess brown is out of fashion atm in Naboo.

I'd stick with the ribbed shirts for xp - I was making some Gunman Dusters and Infiltrator Suits last night and the xp you get for the higher items seems very low.

My best-selling clothing item (after the Military Travel Pack, on Rori/Kettemoor) is the men's trenchcoat, the Smock. About half of the ones I sell are black, yeah, and not for lack of trying on my part. Personally, I wear one in olive with a black belt, with black boots and black gloves, and and pretty darned happy with it. But of the other half of the ones that actually sell, it goes pretty much khaki, then white, then gray. (I strongly suspect that it's medics buying the white ones, and I've started labeling the gray ones as "Imperial gray.") Once in a rare while a brown, green, or pale blue one will sell, but only very rarely.

Given that Rori is almost all one big swamp, I'm surprised as all heck that green/olive combos don't sell more. It's very flattering, and looks good, and has that right "local" feel to it.

That being said, I almost never move stuff that's black on black. Sure, some of it moves, but the stuff that moves the best are items with contrasting trim: black smocks with blue or green or white belts, black thin striped pants with white or yellow stripes, black loose dresses with pastel blouses, black sleeveless gowns with contrasting cuffs, black rugged jackets with brightly colored trim, black striped pants/shirts set with matching colored ribbing, misc wookiewear in black over green, that kind of thing. So even my least imaginative customers aren't total blackholes.

Normally it's white for me and greens and browns for my field wear and my g/f doesn't wear black either so i think it must just be the majority of people who you're serving not the entire server. I do have plans for a very slick block sniper/spy outfit now since I joined the Empire.
