Thread: Finally somebody actually wanted me to make something other than black!

I make gloves in a variety of colors, and while the black ones do sell the best, white and (oddly enough) yellow are not too far behind. Red, green, and blue aren't too bad even, though I don't usually bother making brown/tan/cream/80% of the tailoring colors.

Not sure about the white - maybe someone wants to be a mime? I'll try selling black skinsuits when I can make them - then we'll see.

Dancers and musicians are my best customers (I dance myself a little bit; it's good advertising) and so I hardly ever make black clothes. I've been selling bustiers and hot pants through the bazaar recently (still no shop, unfortunately) and the wilder the colors, the better they sell. Baby blue has been my best seller, probably, but now that I can do red that's taking off big time.

The only black clothes requests I get are from the combat classes, who all want to look tough, I guess.

I wear the brightest things I can make, and also try to make them rather revealing, so that I stand out when I'm moving around town. That usually means bright white, bright blue, pink, and now red clothes: a solid red sports bustier combined with red jeans and accessorized with red shoes and some nice jewelry gets me some attention. You're your best billboard, after all.

I'm hoping that as more money comes into the game and people become more willing to spend on their looks, the Matrix look stranglehold will gradually break.

My experience is like Sriva .... only combatants seem to be stuck on black. Problem is most dancers want Master Tailor level clothes so I have no choice but to mainly sell to combatants.

I've been selling a nice collection of brown Desert Commando sets (brown) ... of course lots of white (almost as bad as black) ... but have been selling lots of Infiltrator suits in all kinda of colors with matching Uniform Boots and Linked Gloves.

Aren't you guys getting black confused with dark grey, dark brown or dark greens? I haven't seen a black pallette yet in this game. Sometimes the dark green looks black but it isn't. When are we actually going to get "black". It's a popular color, and it isn't really in the game!!!

Black shows up on most items for me. It still looks like a dark grey on items like the rugged jacket, but that one makes everything lighter because of its texture. What you apparently see as a verydark greyshows up as black on most of the other items on my screen.

Remember that the colors you see will depend on the quality of your monitor and its settings. All of our monitors are different and will have different settings. Sothe colors may look different to you than they do to those of us who see the black shade on most items with no problems.

I hae a yellow outfit I wear alot, bright yellow rugged jacket, bright yellow light bustier, bright yellow and olive trim pleated skirt, yellow sandels.

I have had 3 people stop and buy pieces of it on the spot.

I also have an all white outfit (bright white cloak, bright white small bustier, bright white pleated skirt with black trim, white high quality boots) The pleated skirt in bright white has a lacy design on it.

Also one of the whites gives a more silvery tone on many items.

Black looks very black on my screen. If it has 2 colors I always contrast my black selection against a white to ensure that its black. leather gloves, cloaks, smocks, muscle/flex shirts, and slacks so far come out the best. Things like ribbed items or items that have a lot more texture tend to come out a lighter black/grey.

I also do a lot of dark blue, it has a nice depth and vibrance to it. Mint green has also been popular and lately plum/mauve is catching on as well. Two of the richest color items I think I have seen to date have been the purple light bustier and the dark blue bustier. The colors are so strong and bold in comparision to how the colors show up on other items.

One thing I would like to see is either a numbering scheme or some way to determine that the colors are the same over multiple palettes. it is hard when your dealing with minute shades to tell if this color is close to the same on these pants as it was on the jacket you just made.

My main items I sell in mainly black and white... but I make the women's shoes, and dresses, those usualy sell as long as the colors are decent. Wookie items seem to do good with dark greens...

Oh, and if you're not seeing black, turn your gamma down... Black is avaliable from Dom arts I, but it turns grey if you crank your gamma up. oh, and you're supposed to not be able to see at night too.

Now that I have field wear 3, I am having fun making "tie-dyed" spec-ops dusters. I might be the only one who wants to wear them though, hehehe.

The one you're calling "dark grey" is plenty black for me. I don't necessarily need a black-hole black color from which no light will ever escape....
