Hey fellow tailors, wutup. Ok so today i decided to restock my vendor with a few Desert Combat Jackets, Spec ops dusters, Heavy Reinforced Jackets, those kinds of things. I had hard time coming up with good prices because i had been underselling for so long. Im also looking for a good price to sell spec ops packs at. I know everyone hates the gear tailors but im going up formal next.

I sell spec-op packs anywhere from 2k-3k and I can't keep them in stock. 2200 or 2500 is usually a good price depending on availability of packs in the area i put them up on the bazaar with. Also, uniform boots are a huge seller of mine, I can't keep them in stock, I can make a crate of 25 and they're gone 2-days later. I sell Gunman's Dusters for 5k ea and spec-ops dusters for 3k ea. I havn't heard of people not liking the field tailors but if they don't that means more money for me so *shrug*

guess it depends on how much you are charging for your other backpacks and how common the metal you need for it is.

I charge 1k for travel packs, 1200 for military, 2k for tech, 3k for bh, and 4k for spec ops--I also have a hard time keeping them in stock, I sell spec ops dusters for 4k and everytime I log in they are nearly all gone!! I have just reached field 4, but I am planning on selling gunman for between 4500-5k. I am sure they will go just as well considering all the requests and inquiries I have had as to when I'll get there!! Most of my lower end clothing is fairly inexpensive, but I feel that once you get to the high end items, not only are they more of a pain in the butt with rarer resources and all the factory components, but people should be better able to afford them! After all---just making 4 of a couple of the field 4 items takes a whole crate of synth!!! Yikes!!

Hehe, anyways, just my 2 cents' worth!!!

I need to try some packs at decent prices on my vendor. I stopped making them for the bazaar when I noticed that there's a player in my area regularly listing 10 travel packs at a time for 100cr each, and military packs for 200cr!

So now I only make packs by request, or if I travel to a city that doesn't have many listed in it. I hadn't tried listing any in my shop because I assumed that the nearby town bazaar wal-mart-prices packs would keep mine from selling, but it would be a nice experiment to try a few.

Has anyone else had any luck selling vendor items thatare available much cheaper nearby?

That's a low low price 100 and 200. That's nuts. You can sell the units for more than that. I'm new to the tailoring world, so it'd been difficult to figure pricing. I did notice that on Tattooine on the bazaars travel packs started at 500c. So I started them out there. It seemed kind of low, but still more than recoup my time and resource investment. Plus I would sell 5 or so a day. Lately I've started to increase the price to get closer to what you guys are selling yours for. It's been working. My market is currently a small one so I sell what I can, but I would never sell them for that low. I did do a deal with a fellow vendor (inorder to get rep and business name out) where I sold 20 travel packs for 350 each. It was a good deal, and I still made money. Still, I'm not going to sell that low unless it's in bulk.

I always price my stuff high when I am in town trying to sell it, so I only get a few tells. If I shouted I was selling dusters for 4k, I'd get more business than I could immediately handle. At 6k, I seem to get about 2 people at a time, which is as much as I would like.

I tried to come up with pricing schemes based on number of components, number of total resources, extra if a factory component, etc....Got way out of hand with over 230 items..

Basedthis off another post, so not my idea, but it is what I go off of.

1k per skill box level, with novice items around 750 each. I only have through formal and filed III though.

Yes that means I sell spec-ops for 3k each currently, which probably is a little low, but I make it up on belts which probably are priced a little high.

For specialty resource items I add 500 or so. Bounty Hunty packs I sell for 4k each as I will Spec-op Packs if I ever find the Aluminum.

Looking at the factory components required in Field, and Formal III, and IV I am thinking of pricing more like:

Skill 1 = 1k

Skill 2 = 2k

Skill 3 = 3500-4k (3k I think is too cheap for some of the items like HeavyRF Jackets and Desert cmd)

Skill 4 = 4500-6k (Really need to think about this one)

This should help offset factory time and costs, at thesame time keeping it simple so it doesn't take longer to figure out the price then it did to make.

Travel packs I sell for 500, Mil Packs 1k, Teck Packs 1k (not a hugh demand for tech)

5k for Master items

3k for level 4's

2k for level 3's

1k for level 2's

500 for level 1 and lower.

Simple enough; I only stock a few items on my vendors every now and then, and take about 1/10 of the orders requested/emailed/telled to me.
