I remember reading a thread where people were saying that crafting station droids stopped working. Is that still the case? I'm planning to buy one. Thanks

There is a lot of bugs in the droids, it mainly seem to be that if you put in mor then one crafting station the second do not work, I've had a R2 and an R3 made, and non worked, however, I got a treadwell and it works very well as a cloth crafting station.

I also purchased a treadwell and had a wearables crafting station installed plus a storage module. Been using it for about a week now without problems. I love the treadwells look with all the spindly arms coming out of it ... looks like the perfect droid to help a tailor. I named mine SewingMachine

I do wish I could call the droid while in the field ... I never seem to remember to make my factory schematics till I am at my factory.

My R2 unit with Clothing Crafting station and Medical module works great! Not sure about the two-crafting-module issue.

The droid modules did all stop functioning for a few days, but they fixed that bug, and mine's working fine now.

Crafting droid? What the heck is that? Can someone explain this to an ignoramus?

Droid Engineers can put various "modules" in their droids to do certain things. Some are crafting modules, which give your droid all the abilities of a Private Crafting Station for the particular specialty (in this case, Clothing, though the others are also available.) An extremely useful thing, since it allows you to pretty much craft anything you can make, anywhere. You can just sit in the cantina drinking beer and making stuff for people, and never have to get up and go to a crafting station to make some particular item....

Thanks for the replies! I was actually planning to get a mouse droid because I think it's the cutest thing, even though it can only hold one module. Anyone knows if those work? I haven't seen a treadmill before. Or if I have, I don't know it. But if it's really cute tooI wouldn't mind getting it!

Just a headup on one bug I ran into.... not a biggie but since someone mentioned it in passing above...

I haven't been able to make my droid crafting station work in a cantina which was a real disappointment since I wanted to hang there making stuff as folks came in to be healed.

I asked a few droid engineers and they confirmed this bug. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Hmm, that's odd... It's been working fine for me in the cantina. The bit that *doesn't* work in the cantina for me is unrelated to tailoring. My droid's medical module allows wound healing outside a hospital - in any location *except* a cantina, that is!

I got a R5 with a clothes crafting module and it works great! I can't wait until the DE's can color the droids, I may have to get another at that point. The one I got, the DE originally wanted 15k, but when he saw I was a tailor he said he'd rather trade it for a nice outfit, so I ended up getting a pretty good deal on it.
