Thread: POPULAR CLOTHING
cloaks and dusters are popular for all the black wearing wannabe's (which makes up most of the population
), light bustiers are popular with the ladies, as are the other two bustier types.
Most master items sell ok, chicks like the revealing top, and the low cut top.
The doctors dress is popular with a lot of people, and I suspect would be even more popular if they renamed it "Doctors Robe", there seems to be a lot of guys who won't wear it cause it has dress in the name *snicker*. The "smock" is popular with guys too.
Oo, the decorative Vest, a lot of people like that one, which I suppose is lucky for vests as the rest are either boring or completely butt ugly.
Popular combinations also are the decorative vest with two-tone formal skirts
Paramiliraty camos with spec ops dusters

You know whats fun, make clothes for yourself. Try a bunch of different things on together in different colors. If you find something that YOU love, then advertise the outfit. I usually set up a demo near my vendor or put the clothes on my vendor. I also get alot of players saying, "Make me an outfit, I like red, blue and black." Then I just make an outfit for them, its alot of fun.
But the best thing is making clothes for yourself. Change your clothes often and try a bunch of things! Drakig often laughs at me because he never sees me wearing the same thing twice.
I'm sure every tailor did this... When I got a new skill, the first thing I did was spend an hour making one of everything and trying combinations.... If I loved it, I would change the colour and try something else. If I didn't, I would put it aside to maybe give another chance later.
All in all, I have made at least one of every single item in the game, became familiar with them and know what they go with, how they interact. I don't know everything. I still learn a bit every time I come to the forums, or a customer comes up with a unique idea. I have to **edit** my head and think about it a second... hmmm.
I love experimenting with new colour combinations and designs. You really have to do these things yourself and get a feel for them. We cannot explain things, and you won't truly know.
lol, I misread your post Darcy, read it as "Cross-Dressing" lol, my bad.
I think the doc dresses have always been popular. I've been making em for months and months now and I've always been able to put em on the bazaar at 3k and have em snap right up.
- Red/Black or Black/White Doc dress
- Black Sunguard
- Black Dress Shoes
- Grand Healer's Dress
- Grand Ball Gown
- Decorative Vest
- Lined Workshirt with +17 Bleed Defense (Heck I should just run a crate of these)
Just one of those Scylla weirdnesses, I guess.. *laughs* I haven't been able to sell the Doctor's dresses (I agree, they are robes and should be labelled as such, like the smocks) since I started playing, nor have I seen them worn more than once or twice before these last few weeks -- and wham! They're everywhere.. *grins*
As for cross-dressing... well, we get a fair bit of that, too! *laughs* I've gotten used to guys coming in asking if they can wear bikinis... a lot of costume parties, maybe.
Recent trend: Belts and Bandoliers.
Two months ago, I couldn't give those things away. On a lark one day about a month ago, I put one or two color variations of each belt and bandolier onto my vendors. After a few days of one or two being bought, suddenly a rash of sales on them. Now I can't hardly keep them in stock. They sell out almost as fast as I can get them back on there. *blinks* Fashion trend? Most of them fit better now? They like it that the metal parts can be red now? No one bothered stocking them before so few customers knew they were available (especially soooo many belt styles and color combos)? *shrug* I like it. Change is good.
