hmm, I haven't had *that* hard of a time getting sockets. of course not all of them are 4-sockets, but I see a good distribution of them, especially if you don't count the artisan items. I was restocking yesterday and had most of the items coming out at 2-4 sockets, although that might be a lucky streak... I'll keep checking

I could not get one item to get a socket last night. I needed to make a couple 4 socket items for a customer, and literally couldn't even get a 1 sokcet item. I probably made 40 items trying. I finally got ONE casual jacket to stick two sockets but that was for something else, and I jsut gave up for the night.
I am only 4422 tailor is that of any relelvance?
I have knocked out 4 socket items before at this level but I am wondering if item complexity has anything to do with it?

I have been having a horrible time getting sockets lately... even on artisan items.
The % feels like it has plummeted from bad to worse.
I have even tried moving from my shop station to my home station and sometimes gettng out my droid...
I am master artisan/master tailor with tailor apron and in a metropolis with all the perks.

I keep hearing reports about it being even harder to get sockets so I will try to test it over the weekend to see if anything has changed. I've been trying to get sockets fixed and if it is even more broken now I won't be very happy.

Please try your experiments on flex-form or muscle shirts. I always have the hardest time getting 4 sockets on shirts in particular. Flightsuits seem to be easiet to get 4 sockets consistantly.
I wanna know the deal is with shirts... I know the forumla is supposed to be the same but gosh darnit... shirts give me the most problems with sockets than any other item of clothing.

Test information for sockets:
45 crafting station, 15 tools (though they took some damage when I died, not sure if this affects them or not). +32 to clothing assembly (5 of that from force assembly)
Tested on Sunguards and Tipless Gloves
Sunguard: Complexity 19
Sockets:
0 - 0
0 - 0
1 - 0
2 - 6
3 - 7
4 - 2
total: 15
(uses 3 syn cloth per hatwith theinjury/wound treatment) OUCH
I charged extra for getting the 4 sockets.

Tipless Gloves: Complexity 17
Sockets:
0 - 1
1 - 0
2 - 5
3 - 2
4 - 2
total: 10
I have no idea how to put these into percentages... I am just a tailor after all.

I always feel like it goes in streaks. Unfortunatley it seems that I have bad streaks whenever the 4 socket item is requested.
Other times when I could care less, maybe dressing a vendor, I get all 4 sockets.
LOL

Percentage results for Chiana:
Sunguards:
0 - 0%
1 - 0%
2 - 40%
3 - 47%
4 - 13%
Tipless Gloves:
0 - 10%
1 - 0%
2 - 50%
3 - 20%
4 - 20%
Interesting results, we should try some more studies, especially on shirts if they seem to give extra problems

At first glance it looks like sockets have changed again, but there isn't enough data to be sure. I will try to work on it over the weekend.

You do tests too! The more data the better!
