I am having a hard time getting people to buy stuff off my vendors....I do more custom orders than anything else...which is fine, but I have Vendors that are fully stocked and are just sitting there. I have them globally advertised and i have a droid in Cnet spamming, what more can I do? Help!!!

I found that renaming (recreating) my vendors with a "tag name" really helped. Nothing sold from the generic "female-only clothing" vendor. But when I renamed it "Hawt Stuff Female-only clothing" things sold.

Spamming doesn't really help. I get so much c-net spam, it's horrible.

Whenever you do a custom order, be sure to send the customer an e-mail with your waypoint. Customers talk to each other and if you are not online, your customer may refer a friend to your vendor rather than to you for a custom order.

HOpe this helps!

infospammail!

make up a 'flyer' to email and forward out

make up 'calling cards' (simple items listing your name, shop waypoint) and hand out (or sell on bazaar)

tell folks, if you are chatting with new people mention your a tailor then casually fwd your WP

use /auc channel, you don't have to spam to be effective, every time you pass a planet (porting wise) let them know of your wares and where to go

yes, you must remove everything, remove maint, and destroy it to make a new named vendor

*note unless you have skill to set up a new one, set up new, and transfer over before destroying old..saves time and is a bit easier this way

( though still must remove it all and relist from your own inventory, not stockroom)

Ashland, my alt's shop was very successful on Sunrunner. I'm in the process of closing it for the time being, but I'd be happy to take a look at your shop and give you my recommendations. I could also send my current customers your way if you'd like. I know quite a few people that are always in the market for components.

Sure is ash was gonna bid on it myself but it would be for a new outfit when I already have 1

Assembly for us has so far shown to help get those sockets where they should be,

just don't go and throw it in your tailor apron, the mods won't stack that way

Sure just give me the wp to your shop. I will probably get a chance to jump on tonight and check it out. The +15 assemblyis good to have. I have a +20 assembly suit and it reduces the amount of 0,1, and 2 socket items. Mostly I hit 3's and 4's. I think the cap for assembly is +25?

wow...I just checked that auction. Don't pay 2 mil for +15 assembly! That's outrageous! It's moreworth it to throw away a couple of 2 socket items than to buy that! I have a couple of +1's that I've collected that I'll give you for free.
