Thread: Poll: Vendors, Stocking, and New Categories
I have 2, one for clothing and one for components.
Vendor Limits:
I keep a couple hundred pieces of normal clothing around.
I haven't stocked Wookiee or Ithorian wear in some time.
I stock BE clothing on occasion, but not very often.
I have around 400 crates and bags of crates of Tailor components available on the vendor, and I try to keep two complete runs of SCs, RFPs, and Trim available.
I have a number of loot schematic items available and can make tons more. (They don't sell.) I've started selling Tapestries on the bazaar for 6K; that's been working.
Other stuff:
I specialize in Tailor crates, as my game life revolves around other stuff. It goes slowly, but I don't get to play much so it balances out.
I do not have a partner.

I'm a bit apprehensive in general about carrying Ithorian wearables because there are SO MANY of them, and at the same time so few Ithorians. This is why I am building up my normal clientele first and then adding an Ithorian vendor. If I find myself relisting but never selling, I may close down that vendor.

they are seperated into catigories such as
covers, allovers, uppers, lowers, accessories, jewelry/backpacks,ithorian items, wookiee wear, special (limited schematic and BEWEAR), and grab-n-gopacks (which also serves as pickup vendor)

a few thousand, i try to stock at least 4 and up to 10 of every item I can craft, varying colors of course

hundreds, same stocking here as any clothing

hundreds,once again Itreat species specific as a seperate catigory not a seperate line

currently on call with only a handful on vendor ( mainly from making requested orders)

None,I will make schems for free but i do not factory run for anyone but myself
(I do not craft Armor padding at all, I will make a schem for the AS to use but that is all)

20-30 seperate items ( leotard to bandolier and backpacks)

I do not call it specialization as much as a form of dedication,
I have always offered a 24-48 hr pickup time,
and will do wardrobes ( about 50 items made to mix and match) as well as fashion sessions on call
I will deliver orders without extra charge
and provide guild uniforms at bulk rates
Have been tailor since very very near the start (over 500 days as one) and have never been tempted to give it up, so I would say it is going very well
Iallow barter payments of items or resources, so it hasn't ever really been about credits with me

- How many crates of tailoring components do you normally stock? probably about 200-300 (full runs, 500, and 250 in packs + single crates)
- How many looted tailoring items (i.e. jabba's apron) do you keep in stock? 10-20
- What is your total stock of clothing items? somewhere between 2000-3000
I don't have quite as much now but I'm still relisting close to 1500 items. It was too hard to keep up with such a large stock.

- Regular Clothing Vendor - Roughly 2500 items of clothing, every item in the tailor tool each with a range of colour options, some upto 20 different colours
- Bio Enhanced Vendor - Roughly 500 items of clothing, some factory runs of 4 socket of the more common items such as +4/+18 melee/stun, +25 medical etc. Examples of all BE types in many items in many colours, except cover mods.
- Schematic Clothing Vendor - about 60 items in total, examples of all specialist schematic tailor items, some in various colour options.
- Wookie Clothing Vendor - about 200 items of clothing, all types in a few colour options each
- Ithorian Clothing Vendor - about 200 items of clothing, all types in a few colour options each.
- Weddings and Other outfits Vendor - about 50 items of clothing, all specially named to be used in weddings or display. Also Martial Arts outfits and Santa outfits(soon to go)
- Star Wars Movie Outfits - about 50-80 complete outfits, all have display models, all specially labeled to be used as imitation of hero's or for display.
- Custom Orders - If people dont find what they need on my vendors, i make it and place it in a bag and put it for sale on this vendor, emailing the customer and letting them know.
- Total Stock of Clothing items is 3500-4000 depending on how much restocking i done today.
I dont stock tailoring sub components at all. I dont have a partner, i dont specialise... as such (altho imo i specialise in everything as i dont do anything other than tailoring really, with occasional play with my dancer alt if i get ahead of restocking wiht time left)
I label everything with the colour it is crafted in (and any mods), that way when i restock i go through vendor sale emails one by one making the item in the right colour, then deleting the email.
Also keep 7 factories at the moment, each generally has a finished factory run of sub components in it, when they get low i throw on the next run etc. Allways one or two free to get BE tissues done fast.

484 at the moment (that should be two of everything, plus some special stuff in purple)

268 (two of everything, although I've probably sold no more than 15 items since they came out)

38 (again, that should be two of each)

22 (depends on number of tissues I have, which is none atm)

hmm I suppose the closest thing I had to a specialty were my outfits, but I stopped stocking them for so long that I have none left. I'm starting that back up again soon, but they sold well enough that I had to raise my prices several times to avoid selling out.

I guess Ispecialize in BEclothing because I cannever keep items in stock... theBE clothing flies off the vendors. My regular clothing items alsofly off the vendor as well. Hence the low stock in my shop. No matter how much I try and maintain decent stock, it sells faster than I can make it!

I went overboard when making them (for the first time), and stocked about 300 items on Zen Ithorian. Knowing they won't sell as quickly as other clothes, I will more than likely move some Ithorian clothing from my vendor to the bazaar.
About 200 items.
I only make custom BE clothing for guildies.
If I make any of these, I put them on my husband's Loots & Rarities vendor, which I manage. Seeing as most of these don't sell very well anymore, I've only got the Chef and Doctor Aprons in stock.
and took inventory of all vendors (excluding the loot shop), and had about 1500 items total. My vendor limit is 3000, so in the next few weeks I plan to add at least 1000 more items.Other stuff

Roughly 2k .. or maybe lessI need to do some serious restocking. I've been away for a few days and one of my vendors even went empty in all of 3 days

Nothing at all. It didn't sell well. I had a vendor that had about 300 items on it and nothing sold in the first month. Ended up relisting the entire vendor...so I took it all off and sold it on the bazaar faster.

Again...Nothing. It just didn't sell

I have a few BE shirts...but I quit selling BE items because players just get really nasty about it. And don't ask me why but um...I don't have to take that kind of treatment

None on vendors. I do these by custom order only. I have several AS that buy directly from me.

Hehe, I keep normally about 15-20 of each item when I have time and resources to make them

I do have a partner. But we don't share vendors. We have a fashion Mega Mall on Ahazi (I'm a ditz and don't know the new waypoint by heart

I specialize in BE wear. Business is very good. I usualy need to do some restocking daily. Due to having only 2 vendors I don't make tons of the same items.

About 200 items though am slowly increasing this amount,

Again 20 max due to lack of wookiees - although on my ithorian and wookiee vendor i have a notice inviting orders from non guildies. I really enjoy making ithorian stuff in particular but no point if its just going to sit on th vendor forever.

Generally its going quite well. I have moved back to Tatooine which, on Farstar, already has a fair few number of tailors so I have had to advertisea fair bit so people know i am here, but the guild I have returned to has around 200 members most of whom are resonably active, so doing things for the guild keeps me busy these days. Also as more people hit jedi i seem to be doing more consultations for them (wanting a new look for when they are out of their robes)and their new alts.

Currently not, however new budding tailor is starting up in the guild so i am helping him with mastering and if he decides to stick with it we have talked about going into business together. Either simply sharing the same premises or splitting the various types of clothing between us.
