Thread: Tailor/BE Questions

I'd like to have +25 wound/injury treatment on my clothes. I'm curious as to how many active biosensors I'd need to get this done. I'm not sure if the Bio-Eng experimenting on the biosensors gives them more mod or if it's just the same no matter what, that's my first question for everyone.

Next, if I ask a Tailor to make me a Gunman's Duster, some pants, and a shirt so that when I wear them I have +25 to wound treatment, how many active biosensors would this take.

Lastly,is it possible to get +25 wound/injury treatment on a single piece of clothing? (Say I've got a full suit of Comp Armour on and a shirt underneath, is it possible for that shirt to have +25 wound treatment?)

I think that's all the questions I have right now. Thanks in advance!

The best bio-sensor tissues I've seen are +16, so you'd need two of those to reach the +25 max.

Go to this site and check out the combos you can have.

Ok, I'll try to answer all your questions by just saying that many items of clothing, but not all, can take medical healing tissues. Of those that do, they can take anywhere from 1-6 tissues. Some of them (like the leather trim shirt) are what I call "double bonus" items, meaning that you receive double the bonus of the strength of the tissues you put into them, but the bonus is capped at +25.

What does this mean to you in practical terms?

It means that if you want a fashionable outfit, you can probably select it out and have a tailor put medical healing bonuses in most of it and get you to, or above, the +25 you seek.

If you select your outfit with an eye towards value, you can select an item like a sunguard, wooiee sage hood, or striped slacks, all of which can get +25 medical by using only 2 tissues that are +13 strength or better.

If you want to go with the shirt under armor route, you can do this, there is a shirt called the leather trim shirt which actually looks decent and can have up to +25, but this requires 6 +13 or better tissues.

Hope that helps.

Isn't a sunguard 3 tissues? I thought one slot took 2 cloth and the other took 1. Also, if they are female then there are a few more options for shirts that fit under armor.

I can't believe no one has pointed out that the 2x identicaltissuecomponent slots are nerfed to only add the bonuses from one of the tissues, so technically you can only have two synthetic cloth bonuses even though the schematic uses 3. Can't wait to make a wookiee armor segment, then drop tailor. Oh boy! On with the holos.

No, no, we knew that. Think if it this way: the sunguard requires one yard of cloth in one part, and 2 yards of cloth in another part. The 2x and 3x from a factory crate just mean a longer piece of the one material (thus, 1 serial number).

Incidentally, this is the way that, once they tackled the bugs in BE tissued in beta, that factory tissues/cloths have always worked. For it to be a 'nerf', it would have to have been greater at one point.

If someone says "hologrind" in their post, I suppose it's only assumed someone will 1star them. We hologrinders get no respect. (wobbles head fiercly) No respect ...

Chef hat!!! It takes 2 synth in separate slots. That is the cheapest hat for any synth bonuses. A pair of +13 tissues gets you to +25 medical

But... It's a chef hat....

Quite right, my bad. Still one of the "cheap" ways to get +25

Same for the Large Headwrap. Unisex options: Leather Trim Shirt (6 cloths), Wooly Shirt (6 cloths). Female-only options: Sports Wrap (6 cloths), Revealing Top (5 cloths), Low-Cut Top (5 cloths). My Master Heavy Swordsman toon wears a +25 Injury/Wound Treatment Revealing Top under her armor.

Fine, take your misguided ignoramousrage out on me, if you did a search of all my posts you'd see that I care abouttheprofessions I am tasked to do by the holocrons.I am one of the few"grinders" that actually slows down and takes the time to understand a profession while I'm at it. I've already posted my opinions about the state of tailors, but realistically none of my ideas are going to be implemented, tailor is broken beyond repair in my opinion. There is no chance players will ever choose to use clothing over armor. Even as tailor has the potential to compete with the allpowerful AS, with the right fixes and enhancements. So that's why I said I'm glad to be done with tailor, it's justthe ID profession with schematics and resources.

A rant for a rant,

You know what, I don't mind hologrinders as long as they don't waste my timeasking me how to grind through a profession I've spent time to learn, and don't spam the forums with"I can't wait to drop this profession" and "GG I hate doing this." I think you'll get one stared every time just because people are sick of hologrinders, including the hologrinders. Go get your FSS and be uber but leave us crafters alone. Stay off our forums or keep your mouth shut about thed amn holo. As for respect, Why should you get any? It takes way more time and effort to do what it takes to be good at some of these professions than you will ever spend hologrinding.
