And I've finally accomplished Master Tailor!!!!!!

Start date: June 28, 2003 for 1 year and a little more than 3 months I have worked towards MT without grinding. I only got xp when I created something that someone wanted or was going to sell. Too all of those who say I should have grinded rather than wait, I say "phhhhbbbbbttt!" I learned so much in my time getting to Master Tailor that I don't think I'll ever drop it... well unless of course they don't give us JTL stuff in the ground game... then it will be time to reconsider and maybe go for chef or something...

So now that I'm a Master Tailor am I a part of the Team Hawtpants?

Congrats! I know its a long, long road. I am not a master yet, but every once in awhile I give into the darkside and grind a little. Good for you to sticking to your guns!

Good Job

Dont think i could have done that though.

When i did tailor i played around with new stuff every skill i gained, then continued grinding, keeping 20 items in black on the bazaar allways.

Congrats.

There is really something wrong with the system though when you can grind your way to tailor in 8 hours, but playing normally it takes over a year

Yes, most crafting professions can be had within a day or two if you have the necessary resources for the grind. Grinding takes away a lot of learning that is useful for players. It's sad seeing Masters who have no knowledge of how things work. My alt used to be a Master Droid Engineer and I always marvelled at the people in the DE forum who asked questions about putting together modeules, yet they were Master.

I admit I have ground skill boxes in some professions from time to time to meet an need. I did it yesterday with the business line of artisan on my new alt. I needed to get some vendors placed before I went to bed, it was getting late and my baby was not going to sleep, so I did Business I to Business IV in about 15 minutes. I could have taken less time, but I had to get up now and then and put a soother in my baby's mouth.

I have never ground a complete profession. Tailor took meabout a monthto do, mostly masslow low end clothing for sale in a vendor. Sadly, most of it never sold. This is why a lot of people grind crafting professions, because it's hard to make money until you are master.

AndCONGRATULATIONS Victoria!

Couldnt agree more.

If it was my choice id limit crafting exp on grinding a bit, but increase user exp a load.

I agree, but that is always the problem with a game that has both casual and power gamers. I wish there was a good way around that problem!

Congrats Victoria!!!

I must say that, because of the way you did this, I have an enormus ammount of respect for you. I feel that your patience and dedication in going this route allowed you to become a master long before you trained that last box.

Thank you all for your kind words!

I must say that I have enjoyed getting to Master Tailor over the past year and 3 months. I've learned a lot about everything, the ins and outs of what is and what is not and never once had a problem telling someone, "Sorry I'm not a Master Tailor yet, but I have a few friends that are and I will gladly send you the waypoints to their shops." Yes, I have great patience and have enjoyed every bit of it.

Sorry A'srai, hon, I won't be sending all of the customers your way anymore, but as of right now, I don't have much time toplay. Between college classes, working full time and planning my upcoming wedding, about the only time I have to myself is to eat and to sleep, so if someone needs a custom order anytime soon, I'll gladly send them your way.

Again, thank you all for your kind words and support over the last 15 months. Now its on to making all those "uber leet" black clothes!! Nah... maybe more like I want it red and black.. LOL
