Congratulations hon!! Well done.
I took many moons to master as well. When I got to about 3244, I decided to grind the rest of the way and spent about 2 weeks off-and-on grinding for a little.unfortunately for me, it was ribbed shirts until the last box, because I never learned about grinding until the end, and it was 3444 when I could do the cartridge belts. *sigh* oh well. SOE needs to adjust clothing xp, as it is based on resources used, while tailoring is an art, not a factory-run business.

Great job. You're pretty much one of a very few people who've actually played this game right.
I only made it about 3 months, myself before I gave in.
Fortunately (?) this was before mounts soI had plenty of time to grind as I made lots of harvester runs by foot. Course I also didn't have a good crafting macro so I did pay a price in clicking.
I'd be proud to say that I'd mastereda crafting profession without grinding at all. I'd say for a crafter in SWG that's got to be about the greatest achievement you can have; certainlyonehell of a lot more of a challenge than making money.

WOW
This was not so much an aim of mine but I did not seem much point in grinding. It took about 2 months with the artist level to reach tailor then about 5-6 months to make tailor. The problem was in the end not so much the master items that could not make but the lack of colours. Without having a red I was turning down so much business and i felt bad telling people I could nto complete the order.
So in end I had to give up and grind the last 4 boxes, looking back I am glad i did and I wish perhaps I had started grinding sooner. Once I reached master it allowed me to focus on make clothes and outfits for people I felt the issue of restricted items and colours I could not make was lifted.
Having said that in the start of the game it was eaiser not being a master as most other people were in the same boat. I think if you started a new character today it would be a very different story. Its hard enough starting a new business without the major headache in lacking items and colours.
Well done tho for sticking to your guns hehe
