WE WILL RE-VOTE AFTER JTL GROUND-GAME NDA LIFTED

This top 5 was very difficult because votes seemed to be all over the place after the top 3. When it was a close call, I remembered our discussions in this forum over the last few months, and used those as a guide. Here is the voting thread.

Please let me know what you think. This is by no means the final list. I feel that we need to add in "white as secondary color" somewhere in there... and possibly socketing...

10/4 Top 5 list

1) Universal color palette.

We want the same 255 color palette applied to every item that we make, to make things easier to match, and because we want to be able to make colorful boots, gloves, etc.

2) Additional Schematics

Both those that are present in the game as loot/npc wear, and new art.

3) Factional uniforms

Tailors want to make uniforms, or gear with factional insignia.

4) 0 condition decay bug

When clothing decays to 0 condition or is repaired to 0/0 or 1/1, it should not be equippable at all.

5) Time-based decay

Clothing should decay slowly when it is equipped and the character is logged on.

6) New colors

We want new colors, particularly a real yellow.

7) Numbered palette system

Numbers assigned to each color would assist in matching items. Numbers would ideally be included in the "guaranteed attributes" description of the final product, automatically, as are weapon/armor stats.

8) Bioengineered clothing: additional options

This may be a BE issue, but we would like to see additional combat and non-combat tissues available for clothing, to make the clothing market more viable.

9) Label clothing correctly

Species/gender restrictions should be listed if you examine the item or sell it on the bazaar.

10) Vendor Categories

Skirts should be under "skirts" and wookiee wear should be under "wookiee wear"

Very well done list...

I guess #2 must be #1 and #10 should be #2

Why I am telling those, because we are out of sales. Composite armors taking over us. Since game goes to combat day by day, we needed more combat gear... People can walk with boxer shorts around on many servers in their mind...

Colors was an issue to match, it was terribly sorry not getting real black instead getting a light grey. Schematics and additional BE components must be priority so people sees clothing as a-must again like wearing armor in combat..

Thank you..

PS: Oh did I say we need hats (like baseball hats, or rounded warm hats, -not to forget imperial hats ) and gloves with sockets or BE additions with upcoming huge amount of Jedi that can only wear those?

Looks good The order isn't what I would pick personally, but then this is about what we all want as a community All of my top issues are in there.

I would still rather have use based decay than time based decay, but it would have to be based on someting other than taking damage (like HAM bar use). Are they asking for our top 5 already? Its a strange time for that.

Yeah the numbers were very close (and very few people voted for these) when you get to 4-10. I definitely want to hear from you all if you think the priorities need to be shifted, or if something really important didn't make the list. It's especially difficult because sometimes we get some non-tailors in here who skew the votes (and I can't assume that someone is a non-tailor just because that person has never posted here before).

Also, I'm curious, our priorities have shifted and I'm wondering why. Last time, it was new schematics all the way, while universal color palette was by far the winner this time.

Anyway, again, this is just a draft. Please comment

I like the list. There are some things I would have in a different order, but other than that, I'm all for getting any of those changes!

About the 255 colors though...last night I was making the dress robe? (whichever robe has the different color palette) Anyways, that item has some really pretty colors like a deep purple and a deep red. So I'd like to see 1 palette, that would be 255+the number of colors in that robe palette, applied to every item.

I like the list and think you hit on everything that is important to us

Some thoughts I have...

The universal palette, would this be for absolutely everything? if so please let the second color on flightsuits be colorizable. If there were to not be the single universal palette, perhaps just 2 palettes (it can be frustrating to be limited, but also there is a certian rewarding feeling when you finished creating a great uniform within limits).

New schematics, we all want the slave skirt and some other items, but I also like having some loot only clothing in the game, it gives a tailor something to collect, perhaps there could be some schematics as rewards?

Factional Uniforms... AGREE 110% This would be my number one, I've done uniforms for a few guilds and if I could integrate faction I'd be a very happy tailor.

Condition decay bug/use based decay... AGREE 110%

I also put great importance on the numbered color palette, Would it be at all possible to have an additional check when a master tailor examines an item to find out what exactly the color is, much the same way only a jedi can see the stats on crystals

anyhow, great work as always n'Jessi!

#4 (0 condition decay bug) should be upped to #1 or 2 IMO because that is a huge cradle to our professions.

Numbered palette system sounds great. It would be kind of neat if we can examine a piece of clothing, and in the /examine details, we'd get the color's "number". That "skill" can be added gradually to our Technique tree (kind of like how a scout can find out more abouta creature as the scout levels up in the profession... ie., what a creature's specials are, the kind of hide and meat it gives, whether or not it deathblows, etc.)

With the factional clothing, factioned tailors should be able to spend their faction points to buy the (limited use) schematic.

Not mentioned here but how about showcasing?

Why my uniforms always came out with breasts when I put them into house?

Tempory solution is to wear them and put then again to be seen in "male" shape. But again after server restart, they turn out women shape. It is ok for many clothes but someone looks really funny especially on uniformal jackets. Some looks sure better on males.

Oh and try pants over boots. Pants will eat boots in shape. I know this is not an easy but why not to display your products?

I think that overall, this is a great list. The only thing I would change (not that anyone cares ) is the vendor sorting. I just use the "all" option, so I never have to worry about what kinds they are.

Great job, N'Jessi

I personally would place it:

1: Universal colour palete (i can agree with that one)

2: BE clothing additional Options.

3: 0 Condition Bug

4: Additional Schematics

5: Vendor catagories

6: Labeling clothing correctly.

- I dont think Factional Uniforms should be in the top 5 at all unless you include it in the additional Schematics.

- I dont agree with Time-Based Decay in any form at all either.

- The rest are not particularly important to meso could be in any order.

I'd probably scratch #5 and move #10 up to #3. So, more like this...

1) Universal color palette.

2) Additional Schematics

3) Bioengineered clothing: additional options

4) Factional uniforms

5) 0 condition decay bug

I say scratch the time-based decay because I've got quite an investment in Armorsmith experimentation tapes going. If SEA extraction were implemented at the same time, that'd be one thing but, to be honest, I don't see them pulling that off.

As for the BE stuff, I'm always getting asked for BE bonuses we don't have. The lack of BE style options is frustrating, as well.

By the way, I think the reason our priorities may have shifted away from new schematics is just because we're being more realistic.

My vote would be:

1) universal pallet

2) new schematics

3) more colors

4) color numbering system

5) combining 0 Condition unequippable + a time base usage factor for decay as one item.
