  • Removed the decayRate attribute from many schematics. Community feedback was overwhelming that we remove decay from clothing.

How can they remove decay from clothing? You can't remove something that wasn't there.

Oh well, there goes all hope of tailoring being a viable money-making profession.

Nobody likes having their weapon or armour decay either but it's there for a reason. I wonder how many retards it took to make that decision.

Yeah. Am I reading that right? Clothes were supposed to decay, but were bugged, so now, instead of fixing the bug, they removed decay? Umm... not that Tailors haven't been doing a pretty brisk business up to now, but without decay, what will motivate most players to buy but a few clothes... ever? Especially with item limits and no storage space to speak of.

Will clothing prices rise sharply or fall sharply? If they change cloning and insurance like they are thinking and making everything uninsured take damage, will that be the only way people will *need* new clothes? Oh, no, I remember. In Beta when insurance went sky-high, everyone just did combat in their underwear. Ah huh. /frown

    **edit**?

I'm hoping there's a major typo in there since it makes no sense. How can they remove the decay stat from clothing when it was never there to begin with?? I know, I'm probably grasping at straws but I'm not really relishing a future as "crafter lite - the brainless trade where all you do is click".

Where did you get this from?

And where is that "overwhelming community feedback" stating this is best for the game?

    From Today's patch notes.

    http://patch.starwarsgalaxies.com:7070/patch/web/swg/motd/patch_message.html

And I have no idea what this overwhelming feedback refeers to. First I heard of the majority of the player base insisting clothes not have decay.

This just doesn't make sense. We've been led to believe decay would be added soon. Remember item #1 on this post?

    http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=tailor&message.id=6632

I'm hoping it was a mistake, it would not be the first time something was wrong in a patch message (factories now work right, etc) While I won't drop my tailoring, it will have to become a secondary profession as I can only see Black Formal Boots to so many people.

There is the small possibility that people will start to like colors other than white though (ROFL, I kill myself)

Yes, I read this as well. I would likesoem calirification... Now let me point out I hardly ever complain about teh game. i do not whine.. However, doing this pretty much makes tailoring stupid to get into. Will we ahve business yes... It's going to slow down too as there are more and more tailors...What can I use my tailor experimentation points for? Well Durability.. but wait there is no decay.. nothing else to experiment on... WHy do I need tailoring experimentation points then?

If the patch notes are correct they ahve just nerfed and already nerfed profesion... I worked hard to reach amster tailor after the whole factory deal was over.. It was many long hours of ahrd work ..having fun to of course in teh game.. This really really irks me.... we need an aswer to teh devs.. if this is correct I will either start a new character, since I am already irked about wookies not having any armor and bio components not relaly working. Or mroe likly just give the darn game up... Unless they want to convert me to a maste armor smith or waeapon smith where I CAN STILL MAKE MONEY> Sorry caps lock there... Please mighty corespondant gete an answer from us.. I am very unhappy about this.

A wookie tailor..We are big mean and make nice cloths.

I also don't understand this, the way it is written.

If they don't put clothing decay in, the profession is doomed. buisness has already slowed down.

    Overwhelming community feedback? **edit**?

I overwhelmingly want to complain that my weapon decays and I may have to buy a new one, and I dont want to. So just take weapon decay out of the game!
