hey all, what might you tailors find to be the most overdone outfit, or piece of clothing there is? just wondering wether it be the most requested, or simply because you see it way too often, or because it just plain stinks. i wanna know what i should avoid.

there are a few clothing items that seems to be really popular:

dusters (usually black)
extremely revealing skirt (walk into a cantina, probably half the girls, especialy the afk ones, will be wearing it)
sunguard (although I don't blame them as much, it's the best headwear for most species)

pretty much anything all black is overdone... it just drives me nuts! normal people don't wear all black irl, does it hurt to wear *some* colors?

I love the extremely revealing skirt. We wanted that thing in-game for the longest time. But... it's overused. I don't wear it myself. I went to an entertainer party and it was like the attack of the skirt clones. /sigh. I almost wished someone would break out a fleshwrap or an Expotic Leopard.

I'd say my biggest selling item would be this:

Black Formfitting Undershirt
+4 Melee Defense
+18 Defense vs. Stun

I've been slowly establishing myself as the leading Bio-Engineering Tailor on my server. When I started as a Tailor, I had no desire to make BE clothing. But I receive so many orders requesting BE'ed stuff, that I figured instead of avoiding BE clothing, I should just embrace it, and be the best I can be.

These shirts are GREAT money makers. I sell them at 20k a piece. And when I buy my tissues at 8k-9k per tissue, that's a HUGE amount of profit I make off these shirts. Since black seems to be the only color anyone wants, I waste one of the tissues out of the crate of making a factory schematic, and I just mass-produce crates of these shirts.

After the Melee/Stun Formfitting Undershirts, i'd have to say that my next best seller is:

Thin Striped Pants (or is it slacks /shrug)
+25 Injury/Wound Treatment

I sell these at 50k a piece, and they sell very well too.

As far as non BE'ed clothing goes, Hooded Cloaks (up and down) and Paramilitary Cammo pants sell very well.

Also, another popular BE item is this:
Paramilitary Camo Pants
+4 Melee Defense
+18 Defense vs. Stun
+17 Injury/Wound Treatment

Usually sell these at 50k as well.

I make a lot of Decorative Vests, but I cannot for the life of me understand why. I think they're horribly ugly, and not Star Warsy in the least.

It seems that my most common items are the same as the rest of you. The Trim Lined Shirt seems to be my most popular shirt. It's a recent development, in the last few months, because I don't think I sold very many of them in the past. I used to move a lot of Flex-Form and Muscle Shirts, but not so much anymore.

And I do like the Extremely Revealling Skirts as well. They're a welcome change from the old Dancer's uniforms. I never liked the fleshwraps, and the Leotards were not much better. And I never sell any of those anymore.

(Can anyone point me to a Decorative Vest in any of the films?)

Ya, Pappi is on the money there. She missed one though... Cloaks Hood Up and Hood Down. Only reason I make em is because they sell like crazy. Easily my highest volume item.

And for the life of me I cant understand why people want them... they look ok if your standing stock-still or sitting, but you look like a major doofus when you start running with them.

Cloaks and dusters should flow behind the person when they run exposing the legs, but instead they are clipped right on the legs so they end up looking fairly stupid... However, if people want em they can have em.

**EDIT** OOOoops sorry Pappi!

I'm glad we finally have them, but they're waaaaay overworn. I would wear one for special occasions, but since EVERYONE and their cousins are wearing them 24/7 I refuse to buy them
