Thread: Mira's Guide to Outfits

Since I'm leaving the game, I figured there's no harm in giving away the "formulas" for some of the outfits I sell. Not that any of them are secret really. Most are based off of outfits from Lightstrider Image Design (one of my favorites), with others from Zendragon's List, Blight's Tailoring Guide (one of the first I ever read), and How to Look Like a Rebel. I just can't recall ever seing anything that gave exact colors for making these outfits, so I ended up making my own, which is posted below.

Each item in an outfit is followed by a color code. (This is not true for all outfits, as there are some I never actually got a chance to make.) Each number refers to a specific shade of the named color. My names tend to be rather bland and generic, so I'm sure you can come up with jazzier ones if you like. The colors are numbered in the same way that they are in this chart from the Needful Things website. One thing that differs, however, is the numbering (or lettering) of the palettes. This list shows which palettes my letters refer to:


  • A = Main Palette

  • B = Metal (Jewelry) Palette

  • C = Leather Palette

  • D = Limited Leather Palette

  • E = Two-Strap Bandolier

  • F = Long Uniform Jacket

  • G = Dress Robe

  • H = Ithorian


I have divided the outfits into "Famous" and "Not-so-Famous" sections. The "Famous" outfits are those modeled after outfits that Star Wars characters wore. The "Not-so-Famous" outfits are all of the rest.

Wow. I never expected this response. I really wish now that I had posted it sooner.


I've had this typed up and saved on my computer for almost a year now, in various forms. I was looking through my SWG things on my computer (yes, I have quite a few ) after I canceled my account, and I was thinking of what a shame it was that my outfits list that took so long to put together would just sit there, unused. And then I had a moment of enlightenment ( ) where I realized that I could post it to the forums and let everyone use it.
