I should also note that the database contains mistakes. There's no way around that, short of an export from SOE directly, then it'll contain all their mistakes. :-) So please let me know if there are any corrections that are needed.A coupleI know of in that version are that the price on High Quality Boots was WAY too low and that Pilot's Jackets are misfiled as pants. :-P I probably won't update the archive often, but when I do I'll try to post to remind people for fixes. If you're changing the prices to suit your economy, which you should, it'll be far easier to make the changes to your version than to re-work all the prices on mine again. :-)

I'm curious as to what information is in the database. I assume it includes a name, picture link, category, and price. Does it also include tailoring skill level required, resources required, components, etc?

Actually, the image name is assembled from the schematic name. :-) (That was a pain to code, but less so than typing in all those image names...)

The DB contains schematics, color palletes 1 and 2, color locations 1 and 2, price, Catalog descriptions, and boolean variables for:

I'll be modifying this to suit my needs, but I do feel the need to point out, you left out the pallete images, the color wheel and the red color swatches on your "what colors should I wear" page. Some of the best features, forgotten!!

Those swatches are all contained in the image zip file, so be sure to grab that if you want to use the what should I wear page! :-) Also, if you use that, please credit me on it, since that was a large chunk of writing to put together, and I should credit my wife with the Ann, Al, and Gus story. (She's an elementary art teacher, so that may explain a lot...) :-)

I posted this in the websites thread, but wanted to make it generally available for people.

I've uploaded the PHP code and the SQL database behind Graceful Clothiers into one ZIP file. To run such a site, you'll need MySQL 4+ (3+?), and a server which supports PHP. All code released under the GNU Public License, of course, and freely available to be altered/modified to your use.

For those who need a hosting solution, allow me to recommend atlantavirtual.com. We've hosted through them for years now, and while I wish they had a referral incentive, that's about the only complaint I can make on that front. Service, response, and tech support has been wonderful, and the prices aren't half bad, either. :-)

The code DOES require some configuration, so have some working knowledge of PHP/MySQL/HTML, but generally it's pretty painless if you do. The structure is such that the left menu actually calls a category.php file, such as dress.php, which in turn calls the main layout file, catalog.php. This allows you to change the entire layout of the catalog by modifying one file. :-) (New.php will also have to be changed, but that's less urgent, usually.) Also, note that you'll have to modify config.php to fit your own setup. You'll probably also want to re-work the welcome page, etc. Finally, as I said above, please take the time to edit the catalog descriptions of the items. That's the only part of the work which is truly creative (though I'm pleased with the catalog.php code), and I'd prefer to see originality out there. :-) PM me here if you have questions, but be aware that I'll only answer as I'm able.
