For someone with their own T1 line...

Consider enabling a javascript mouseover on the color palletes which changes the image to the appropriate shade, stores the grid location in a variable, and add a shopping cart for use in compiling orders to be copy/pasted into game. The two toned items are more difficult, but bandwidth could be minimized by layering the images and using transparency to ensure that they layer over one another properly.

But just my static images are causing a great deal of traffic, so be sure you've got the bandwidth allotment to handle it. I wouldn't try it with less that 20 GB to work with in a month. Seriously. :-)
