Thread: Poll II: Recolorization by Tailors only
As ArthurDentOnBria feelshis poll has served it's purpose in showing Tailors are universally opposed to having non-Tailors dye clothing, but divided on whether or not and if so how Tailors would do so, I'd like to start a second poll
I wrote down the conditions and limitations I've seen people mention. Please cut and pastetheoptions below and delete the ones you don't like. Keep as many#2 sub-items as you like. Ooo I love writing polls
Hope this one is useful.
Edit: Donnah reminded me of a pair of sub-items I had wanted to include. If you've already voted, please feel free to add one of these
1. I would not support any form ofclothing recolorization.
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
- The duration was limited (like droids) and the clothing would eventually revert to its old color.
- Thechange was permanent.
- Only a limited palette (such as Novice Tailor) could be used.
- Only Expert/Master Tailors would be able to do it.
- Any Tailor would be able to do it, and it would be tied to their skill level.
- It was limited to dyeing clothing out of factory crates.
- It could only be done once or a few times per item of clothing.
- It could be done an unlimited number of times.
- It could only be done by the creator of the item.
- If any Tailor can do it, the item name get'dyed by ...' tacked onto the end.
- If only the creator can do it, the item name be alterable.
- I don't wantlimitations, any Tailor should be able to redye any clothing whenever.

And I'd add to that a preference for a shortish "window of opportunity" for recoloring - basically, to make it a part of the custom crafting process, not the sort of thing where your customers are coming back two weeks later bugging you to change their outfit from red to green.
* Any Tailor would be able to do it, and it would be tied to their skill level.
* It could only be done by the creator of the item.
I think I would have other issues and concerns here to, but I definately would not want any tailor to be able to change the color of clothes that I made, or anyone for that matter..

And adding the conditions:
- The item's creator could also change the item name (to incorporate the new color).
- If a tailor other than the creator dyed the item, the item name would revert to the name of the schematic.
- If a tailor other than the creator dyed the item, their name would be added to the item information under the heading "Dyed by:"
- A tailor could only recolor items that they have the schematic to create
- Use-based decay for all clothing was implemented.
- The item can be recolored easily once after creation (or removal from factory crate), and for any further recolorings, the item would decay and it's max condition would be permanently reduced.
- It could only be done by the item creator.
- The creator could change the item name at the same time.
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
- Thechange was permanent (but perhaps give a 5 minute time limit to get the colour just right)
- Any Tailor could do it, but would be tied to their skill level. (possibly requiring tailoring I)
- It could only be done once or a few times per item of clothing.

My truevote is 1. I would not support any form ofclothing recolorization.
My "dragged kicking and screaming giving into the inevitable" vote is
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
If only the creator can do it, the item name be alterable.
