Yep, that's right. As part of the revamp the Chefs are getting, we get a few new schematics, including.... HATS! Two of them, a baker's cap and a kitchen master's cap. Also a chef outfit consisting of an apron, shirt, and bow tie (think "Fancy Restaurant"). The new schematics will be added to the formal wear line.

Excuse, me, Ms. Anabelle, but I have a question...will Twi'leks be able to wear these?

Don't get me wrong... I know that this is a great thing and I've been waiting for schematics for so long, and I realize that we've been pushing for hats but... the big 2 items we've been asking for - forever - are

1. the leia slave skirt AND


2. the noob scout vest

Both these items are already in-game as loot drops.

Again, I really appreciate the new schematics, but I am perplexed as to why these "chef themed" schematics are coming "out of the blue" and at the same time the schematics that we have asked for repeatedly are not being added.

It's not entirely out of the blue. The chef profession is getting a total (and much needed)make over. These schematics are part of that release.

I totally share your frustration about the leia skirt and the scout vest.

any idea if there will be more hat schematics added as well. i just want a nice hat.

the sun disc don't do it for me. the swoop helm neither swoops nor helms. the warm hat is not for me (looks kinda fez-ish). the decorative head-dress is way to court jester-ish. head wrap is nice and all, but it is not a hat.

is a nice hat too much to ask?

It's long been clear that the specific desires of tailors count for approximately zero in the devs' overall scheme of things. We'll get stuff on occasion if it "piggybacks" somehow with a more favored profession, but I doubt anything on *our* wish list will ever be a top development priority.

That said, I think these particular schematics are a nice idea. Chefs (and maybe doctors) are among a very few professions that you think of as having a "professional uniform," and we don't have a whole lot of good options for them in our current schematics.

Hey, at least you can wear all those hats...We male twi'leks are stuck with headwear that makes it look like we have underwear on our heads....

Oh! I just read the announcement on the Chef forum and there is another thing that kind of helps us tailors. Scouts will now be able to milk herbivores, so creature handler clothing will no longer be almost impossible to make anymore! It will now be more like eggs, which are really easy to get.

Guys remember we got our focus love a few months ago. Now I know we still have some outstanding issues, but there are 33/34 other professions out there that need some TLC as well. If Tailors get some nice stuff slipped in once in a while durring that process........ hey I'm not picky. Cool!
