Thread: New Schematics On the Way !!!!!

Woo de doo.

Useful new schematics = ones that are in the game and we don't get to make.

Useful new schematics = some new ones that we've been asking for for months (thigh boots, hats that don't make you look like an idiot, and so on, and on).

Useful new schematics do not include a chef hat, which if it's anything like the existing hats will look like absolute crap. It'll be another opportunity for the silly people to run around looking silly (woopee! I'm Chef Boyardee!). And that's about all it will be.

What I don't understand is why, if they are capable of doing a new schematic like this, they don't do something people want and have been asking for, instead of something that I don't think anyone's asked for at all so far in all the tailor wish lists? Or anywhere else, for that matter?

The key to this profession continuing to be viable is variety, and after five months as a master tailor, both I and my customers are getting bored with what's available to us pattern wise. If this non-event has been the end result of several months of us begging the devs for some new patterns, then I'm not only very disappointed now. I'm worried about whether we'll EVER end up getting anything we really want in the foreseeable future.

Great news! But... it's disappointing to hear that our new schems are being tied to updates of other professions. A handful of new items is of course better than none, but we've been waiting so long for some love of our own. And we've been good! I agree with SueDenim, it's sad that we're being relatively ignored except when other professions want things that happen to fit with tailors.

But on the plus side, maybe putting in just a few items at a time for us will mean that these new things won't have the bugs and clipping issues that still haven't been fixed in some of our other clothes. I also hope that the chef outfit will equip with the tie on even for female characters.

I wish they'd add some kind of Chef Necklace so maybe that bug would get fixed too.

its all good bringing new clothes out but when will they bring out new clothes for wookies. Us wookies have hardly any clothes and think that is wrong. Wookies should be able to wear as much as the other species. For instance ookies cant wear boots but i think wookies wearing boots would look cool and maybe some more robes and stuff like that.

I'm still of the opinion that any new schematics should be quest rewards. they shouldn't just be "poofed" onto our datapad .

Well, I posted this before I told you! Anyway, I wish that milk would still be rare, but I also wish I had some somtimes. So far I have been able to get two tissues made since the beginning of the game. No one in my PA has found me even a single unit and the stuff I have seen for sale went for millions (which is more than I have. ). What I wish they had done was to remove milk from the chef recipies and increased the drop rate just a little bit so that I could compete. Of course, if I wasn't so lazy what I *really* should do is fill my vendors with hundreds of items and then go to places like Coronet starport with my tag turned on and advertise so that I could make enough money to buy the milk I need. It wouldn't be as much fun for me then, though.

Oh! I just read the announcement on the Chef forum and there is another thing that kind of helps us tailors. Scouts will now be able to milk herbivores, so creature handler clothing will no longer be almost impossible to make anymore! It will now be more like eggs, which are really easy to get.

It's nice and all, but schematics that maybe 10 people on a server will want... Bah.

Actually, have you looked at the stuff that's come out about plans for Chefs? Looks to me like they're getting some very cool stuff, and it might even become a popular profession!

Well, I hate to say this, but these schematics are useless. COMPLETELY useless. Honestly, how many chefs do you folks know? I know of 2, one is a holo chef who never wears his chef tag (so won't want chef-wear). Chefs makeup something like 1% of the SWG community, so making chef specific clothing, while seemingly a good idea, just isn't something a tailor is going to sell in any volume. If you're lukcy you might sell one of these every other month.

There are about 10 chefs on my server. In 2 days, they will get their chefclothes and thats it. They wont buy new ones, and I will be lucky if I sell one.

How about USEFUL clothes?

That would be a surprise

I know what they should do. Make the chef items take 2 slots of 1 RFP each. Then everyone everywhere will be running around in the battle fields with chef outfits, rofl.
