Asking again... do you think that the bug is causing lag?

No, I don't think so.

So does anyone know why there is so much lag. I'm not talking about just crafting, but in general. Ever since CU the lag is almost 2 to 3 times as bad as pre-CU on everything.

I'm gonna say it's your system, cause I have no lag except for the occasional chat lag.

Why not hotfix now?

I am going to be ungreatful since i'm paying for this game and i've been getting pretty poor service from it.

Why the delay in implementation of this hotfix.

Of course i'll be the one with egg alllll over my face when it's deployed Friday

Because if we hotfix it now, it will crash into publish 21, causing both the publish and the hotfix to explode.

Well that's a darn good reason.

Sorry I was under the impression it had already been tested on the test centres.

I'm kinda out of touch :/

I have noticed one very specific area of lag which has been in the system since the last hotfix (the one before Publish 21). This relates to the delay that occurs after you press assemble and before the stats are populated in the next box. Before the hotfix this information came up, more or less, simultaneously with the image of the item assembled. There's now a perceptible delay of 3-4 seconds before the "sockets" information is displayed. I notice this particularly because I don't sell anything with less than 2 sockets (unless it's a socketless garment) so at this stage I trash the item if it falls below this threshold.

It's not a big issue (just a minor irritant) as you can proceed to the final screen while the stats box is still blank so for the most part it's no biggy. It'll be abit more of a pain if you are crafting a set of all 4 socket itemsfor a uniform and factory run (when it's safe to do this!). You'll have to wait for the 1st stats window because you won't know if you have aviable schematic for a factory run.

In the greater scheme of things this is a minor irritant, but it is definitely there. Interestingly it appeared with the hotfix that sorted out the displayissues in the experimentation crafting windows, which makes me wonder if the timers behind the scene have been rejigged to give the experimentation windows a better chance of populating. In which case, if this is a bit of minor fall-out from that fix I guess I can live with it!

BTW: I bugged this in game on the day of the hotfix release.

Cheers,

Any idea when this will hit TC?

TC-Bria has had two patches that TH denied happened (he says they were bounces, but we downloaded stuff and the version number increased) so it might be there now - but as hardly any Bria players logged on I've not seen anyone able to test crafting stuff.

If you can get TC-Prime back in service then I can have my tailor get some stuff together with my BE and a factory run or two, and I'm sure so can a few others.

The Shiro Clan of TC -
...has successfully tracked Tiggs
...is still tracking down more bugs
NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

I've noticed the "socket lag" myself but for me its really not long enough to be a bother. I did suffer awful lag after the CU but a bit more memory for my pc seems to have solved most of it. Now I just get the occasional lag spike which, to be honest, I can live with.
