I've read every post in this thread with interest, as I've decided that tailoring is the path for me and I wanted to be in the know about the current state of the profession.

The biggest frustation for me as an avid tailor *customer* (I'm a master dancer and *must* have those outfits!) are thepalette issues that invariably pop up to prevent me from getting the outfit in *just* the right colors. Just to cite merely one example, I've been dying for uniform boots to be dyeable in the extended palette (like uniform gloves are!),so I can havea complete go-go outfit in, say, sizzling bright orange.

I hope that this is something the devs decide to adjust one day soon; it would make my time as a tailor that much more fun.

I'm a Master Creature Handler, not a tailor, but I think the way they made the change for mounts is completely wrong, and left out everyone else. For a CH to train a creature as a mount, he/she should have to buy a saddle, reins, bit, whatever seems reasonable. I think that to get multiple classes involved in the process, CHs should have to buy a saddle (it could be made solely from types of hide), reins (probably could also be made from leather), and a bit (the metal piece that goes in the creatures mouth that sort of "convinces" them when we yank the reins). If the tailor could make the saddle and reins, that's great, but there should be a metal bit that has to be purchased from someone else...maybe master artisans, weaponsmiths, droid engineers, but definitely someone who works with metal pieces. I realize the tailor uses metal fasteners, but that's stuff like buttons, snaps, and zippers, it's just not the same. The whole point of this is that when the change came out, CHs were making money hand over fist by gouging people buying creatures trained as mounts. This requires that you select the creature, bring up the radial menu, select train, and then select "train as mount"...then the saddle and such just magically appear. So, for one little click of the mouse, someone was paying 100k or more extra for a pet. If, however, there had been a requirement for other pieces to be purchased and such, then people could buy there own saddle and such for a mount they already owned perhaps. The way it was donedoesn't sound realistic, nor reasonable. It only sounds like another of those half-thought-out beta ideas that we keep testing for Sony.

Currently my only wish is that they finally give us a freakin' update about what's going to happen. Thunderheart promised an update on ALL professions sometime ago, which still didn't happen. I wonder how much longer we've to wait.
