I have a story some of you may be able to relate to.....

I had a customer come into the shop that wanted a custom BE outfit made. After spending 2 full nights of play time with her (almost 8 hours) and making more samples than I care to count. She decided she wanted to try on a refined skirt. She was so upset that there was a patch on the skirt. She could NOT believe that the schematic would possibly have that & I must be using low quality resources. I kept explaining to her that all schematics are the same & quality of resources is not a factor in tailoring. A regular customer happened to stop in when she made the comment....he sent me a tell "What a ******* idiot ".

yah I know their are so uninformefd people out there, my brother while hologrinding to MBH right did not know what eyeshot was.

Princess Leia is really short.

I almost made it to tailor, domestic I-IV on one server, because I wanted a crafting profession where I could enjoy resource hunting, and making stuff, but without the pressure to make the best of the best like Armorsmith and weaponsmith, until I found out that quality and experimentation mean nothing Tailoring. That's why I have never made a refined skirt to sell... there is no way I'm going to put something on my vendor or offer it to the public with a patch on it, especially with the name "refined"... bleh...

I'm not quite sure what this has to do with anything, but Carrie Fisher *is* really short - only 5'1", according to her IMDb entry.

It looks like the devs *finally* have the movie characters at more or less the proper heights now, though. Couple months ago when I met Princess Leia, I think she was about 4'3"....

Oh yea?

Try this..

/tell: "Hi are you on/there?"
---Duh, I must be if you did a search and I didn't have a AFK tag on..been getting this a lot over the past month

/tell: "Can you make me some entertainers clothes?"
---This example was from the other day..from someone who was a newbee and I was in a good mood and hooked her up with some descent entertainer clothes (told her not to be picky since I was doing it for free and she said no problem)...then later on she sends me another email asking me for entertainer's clothes AGAIN Either she forgot who's she talking to or going around trying to get free clothes from people. Because of that I removed my helper tag because i guess to newbee's helpers mean FREE STUFF ..Thats the last time I be nice to someone.Lesson learned

/tell: "Can you teach me (tailor skill)?"
---Not even a "HI", "Hi are you busy" or a "Please"..This happens a lot with those hologrinders out there. So what do I do ? ignore them..Hologrinders are destroying the crafting profession

/tell: "I am about to finish grinding out tailor for my holo, wanna buy crates of SC for 25k each..real cheap?"
---Why would a master tailor who has his own factory crates and can create more want to buy a hologrinding idiot doesn't know who he's talking to?

/tell: "Wanna buy some Heavy Duty Leather really cheap for only 100k per unit?"
---heh, sure right../ADDIGNORE /BAN

The oneI get most often is "Can you make me an outfit like (insert name of /tell-ers friend here). He/She said you made it andI want to have one just like it."

Now, I dunno about the rest of you but once an outfit leaves my trade window it also leaves my mind (unless its for a regular or its really neat and original).

Someone yesterday asked me if I had reinforced pullovers in stock. He seemed miffed when I explained I had 1100 items in stock - and that wasn't one of them.

Reinforced pullovers?? Huh??

They're looted - tailors cannot make them. But I assure you, they exist.

Yep, I can make them and I retch every time I try to make one...

In my opinion the Reinforced Pullover is the most disgustingly butt ugly clothing item in this game... lol

Going back to the "I'm new, can you make me some clothes" players, I was stoppedleavingCoronet starport once with that as a /tell. Infinity's Coronet starport is Lag City, it can sometimes take 2 mins just to get out of the port! So I tell this person I would meet them at the banking/bazaar terminals where it is less manic.

So I meet this 'newbie' player and for some unknown reason I do an examine on them, turns out they have done more exploring than I have! Of course when I asked them about this all I got was silence and they ran off.

I also get the usual 'Can you make me some clothes?', 'What type of clothing are you after', 'Oh anything, I don't mind'.

And of course 'What clothes can you make?', 'Can you be more specific, are you after ashirt, pants, jacket, dress etc?', 'Tell me everything you can make and I'll decide.'

Arrgghhh

Itemcreator,

I hear ya..I know exactly how you feel...Lets say its a slow day for business, so I go with some friends to higher level planets for fun and xps. As soon as I leave naboo and hit Cornet or Tat then ..BAM!!.."Can you make me some clothes?" "Can you train me?" Sometimes I don't respond..sometimes I say I am going off world ask another tailor..why do i say this? for two reasons..First because I am going off to have some fun with some friends and second I don't want to intrude on other master tailors who are online now and need the money..Just being fair and polite don't you think?
