Unlike many, I don't *totally* mind the limited palettes on a lot of objects, except in the oddball cases wherte it makes no sense whatsoever - like, oh, a metal palette on something that's obviously cloth.
But...
I think we need to have at least *some* schematics where the "leather" palette isn't used for gloves, boots, and belts. I cannot make a truly red boot of any sort; the best that can be done is a kinda-sorta-red-brown for Standard Boots.
And even shoes... the Women's Shoe and Dress Slipper have access to the full range of colors, and that's great. But unless I'm missing something, there's *no* shoe or boot wearable by males that can have all these colors!
I don't necessarily want all the boots to have all colors available, but it's be nice to have at least one that was both unisex and had access to all colors. Same for gloves and boots.
A Rank Jacket (imperial and rebel version)
It has the appropriate style crestand displays the current rank of the person wearing it.
It shows bars or stripes or stars along the sleeve or collar or chest. The higher your rank the more bars, etc. 
It would feed into the desire to display status, and I think would be a big seller.

You know what I'd really like to see? Tailor specific catalogue items. Let me explain:
Tailors could create and hand out these items to customers. These items would be bound to to the tailor that created them, knowing all of the clothing schematics that the bound tailor is capable of. The customer could use the catalogue to view his/her character wearing anything in the catalogue (ie, anything the tailor could make) in any color. He could customize his look entirely, picking different things out of the catalogue. Once done, the customer could use the catalog item to create an order item. This order item would basically be a list of all the clothing that the customer selected, in the colors he/she selected. The customer could then give this back to the tailor he got the catalog from, and the tailor could use the order item to create the order.
What do you all think of this idea?
Know how PA halls have the flags hangin from'em? (Well Generics and Naboo do I know)
Make it so a tailor can tailor it and give us choices of like 30 different symbols and then diff color combos/styles. =) So we can design PA specific flags they can hang or PA specific clothing
There actually was allot more stuff, but when I really though about it there were sometimes items in the game that were pretty darn close if the right colors were used or while it may look good I'm not sure it could be implemented (or at least implimented well) with the games graphical limitations (some of the robes fall into this category).
Some of it is just stuff I would like, others on it were what other people requested but some were arguing if it would fit in the Star Wars universe (such as leopard prints or thigh high boots).
How about just abasic cloth or canvas backpack?Make it modestly sized, simple in appearance,and customizable on thebase color,trim color, andfastener color.And please, notubes, lights, wings or fake rockets on this one...
