Thread: Big Patch 2 Report
I guess I get to ask the question again.....
I understand that the crafting tools are still bugged, but I know with /selectdraftschematic, I has a semi-workaround for the armor/tailoring thing. Only problem was lack of colors (which is a huge problem for armor AND clothing, but at least I could make my advanced composite and all master tailor items as well).
If anyone is on Test Server with Master Tailor and Master Armorsmith, would you mind testing a piece of composite armor to see what colors are available? Or actually, whichever armorsmith skills now grant colors and Master Tailor to see if you get a color choice.
I would love to be able to make my armor any color of my choosing, like I had planned.
How many color options does he have, now? Did they change for him, since the patch?
The reason I ask, is I know the crafting tool bug causes me to lose color choices, and I just assumed, the case was the same with armorsmith (as I got a severely dismal color selection).
You mentioned the metallic color scheme? Are we talking (these items before patch, never seen them after) Metal Bikini color choices? Or bikini Leggings color choices, or something completely different. I know I've been told that colors like red/green/blue were available (albeit not BRIGHT, but at least metallic forms of them).
I don't know if there is an edit button, but I didn't locate it.
For color choices are we talking about the metal choices that are displayed under metallic colors here? http://www.aubereanjourney.com/catalog (on the OOC: About Colors link)?
Yes

Here is the list as I know of it so far for armor whatever palette I list, its the same as the tailor's, he does have all the colors I do for that set:
Composite: Metallic
Padded: Complete Colorset
Ubese: Basic Leather and Extended Leather palettes
Tantel: Will find out tonight
Chittin: Will find out tonight
Mabari: Metallic and Complete Colorset
Bone: Will Find out Tonight
Also, a little warning to you guys who run harvesters.
Power consumption was doubled with this patch.

Oh I'm freaking
Yep! Sleeve, shoulder pad, chest, and undertunic all have a color to set.
Quote begins: Wire3k and Vandessa:
3) Took said crate and proceeded to craft a spec-ops duster with 2 factory ident camo cloth and 1 myoflex. instead of +22 camo/scent and +11 wound I got +11 camo/scent and +11 wound. When I equiped the item, my stats read thusly: Camoflage +70/+81 Mask Scent +70/+81 Wound Healing +0/+11
Not yet field tested to see if these stats actualy help. But that is what the numbers curently read on the client. At least we can now make more advanced items with BE stuff on them... wish they stacked.
Hmmm, need to report that - the bit about mixed buffs wiping parts of each other out. Holo did say some time ago that was going to be a problem and take longer to fix, but we probably need to be staying on top of it till it is so it doesn't get backburnered.
Quote ends ... I really need to figure out the not-HTML code for this, so the reply tool doesn't yell at me. ![]()
This isn't a case of mixed buffs wiping each other out, though. What I suspect happens in /any/ case of 'X component needs 2 or more of a factory made item' is that the entire 2/2 or 3/3 counts as 1 item, and thus any bonus that all of those fractions (1 of 3, 2 of 3, and 3 of 3)have count only once. The combined 2 identical synthetic cloths needed for the comfortable slacks is, essentially, only one synthetic cloth that's twice the size of the 'standard' synthetic cloth. We only realize this by multiple 'standard sizes' from a factory crate to make sure the portions are identical.
So, in the case of those dresses and pants that require 2/2 and 3/3 synthetic cloth together, if you used all the same crate of treated material (like the +11 Myoflex), the total bonus would be 11 x 2 cloth components, /not/ 11 x 5 pieces of cloth used. So far in my tailoring skill, instead of those Formal 4 dresses and slacks, it reverts the Sage Hood to the most treatable with 4 separate cloth components. And you just have to figure, it's named a /sage/ hood for a reason, right? ![]()
