I say we make something different and refuse to ask a question. The whole system with one question every two weeks is ridiculous and the answers we will get are very likely to be equally silly and non-informative.

Until we see some actual progress, bug-fixing and just plain interest for our profession from the developers, I say we remain silent as a protest. It's not going to make it any worse.

Bitter? You betcha.

One of the "few male tailors" here. And my first post to this particular board.

Personally, aside from the obvious bug fixes, the two biggest problems I have with being a Tailor are colour matching/incompatible palettes and the lack of ability to outfit a customer in a window (i.e. the ID interface) without having to make a ton of superfluous clothing.

Of the two I would most like to see some sort of comprehensive, intuitive colour matching system. I don't see how difficult it would be to employ the sort of "eyedropper" system that one finds in most art programs. Failing that, maybe there's something that could be hardcoded into the interface. For example, perhaps some sort of code could be employed whereby a tailor (and only a tailor) can see which colours were used when they "examine" the item.

So how did Yoda get his robe then? Did he pull out a sewing machine out of the swampand make it himself with the vast amounts of cotten he harvested in the swamp? Did it just materialize out of thin air?

Think of it this way: Robes are what Jedi choose to wear. The Jedi have the "skill mods" themselves based on their knowledge of the force, not the stupid piece of cloth that they happen to be wearing. Why is it so perposterous to suppose that a Jedi actually aquires said clothing from somebody who knows how to craft them?

Im a master tailor and I dont think we should have anything to do with the jedi robes. I dont think yoda went to a tailkor and said:

"Makes this robe you will. Defense modifications add I will." LOL

Arthur, you're absolutely right. The robes themselves giving the mods is a stupid game mechanic—but think of it this way. Who wants the robes? Jedi. At present, how many Jedi are good, kind, worthwhile clients…and how many are straight **self-edit**s that stabbed their friends in the back when holo-fever hit all in the name of the blue cube? I don't know about you, but I have less than 0 interest in being forced to deal with the Golden Children of SWG. Let a terminal do it—we'll all be less frustrated in the long run.

Most of the universe's problems can be solved by the application of a brick to the side of the right head.
The problem is if you don't have a big enough brick or can't find the right head. The devil is in the details.

Judging by the kind of Jedi I've met, I truly hope that tailors are required in the robe process. That means I can either 1. soak them for all they're worth or 2. utterly refuse them service.
