Thread: Patch 8 notes!!!
RandDarkstar helped me test (big hugs) and here are the results:
Trandoshan females can wear the GHR. I have no idea whether they could before.
Rodian females still cannot wear the GHR. It's already in our top issues, so eh...
I still have not seen any mysterious hooded dress, and I presume it's the GHR made to fit trandos.
It's funny but that **edit** that blew up over his first experience with +11 bio's LOL who thinks our profession is retarted, just really needs to keep on walkin'!! A person like that would never survive in here with the atmosphere we've created and with how protective we are over Jess.
Thanks for the reassurance. It's such an icky time, right now!! We all just need to keep on being here for each other and for me, I need to remember that I actually do love making clothes.... the customers have just been so rough lately.
We'll just keep on keepin' on. ![]()
Thanks again, so much!!

Well, that kick in the teeth had already been landed, and the ranger have no front teeth left, lol. A ranger with tracking 4 only gets 30% bigger harvests than a scout with hunting 4, and bio enhanced vegash delivers a harvesting increase that is nearly 30% so you can already buy a crate of "instant ranger skills" and save yourself around 60 skill points lol. And Vegash is apparently pretty simple and inexpensive to make. Sad but true. Surprisingly the rangers made very little noise about the vegash introduction (believe it or not they received it fairly positively) so I think the precident was already set.

But given that by all indications the harvester droid multiplies the user's skill, rather than just adds to it, a Ranger using one would get a bigger boost than a Master Scout, as would a Ranger using veghash. Ergo, a ranger fully buffed with veghash using a droid that was nothing but harvest modules would get truly impressive harvest hauls.
True, and then the market becomes flooded and the price drops, so rangers end up worse off still

Yes, and this was in fact their argument, but I just don't see it that way. Skill points are the most valuable commodity in the game. I'd pay millions just to get a few more. And when you create inexpensive products which bestow significant abilities that you'd have to expend a ton of skill points to get otherwise, that's a bit overpowering in my book, even if those who already have those abilities benefit too. I would absolute freak out if they came out with a droid that allowed domestic arts folks to do anything clothing-wise as well as a tailor.

It also does not address the issue. If you add 20% to scout or 20% to ranger, the problem that a master ranger is still barely making anything extra for the 100+ points he took over novice scout. Heck, I know! I am novice scout, so I can harvest thousands and thousands of rancor hides. Those beasts drop over 100 hides for novice scouts. After killing a few hundred of them, it adds up fast.
When I go to take on the krayt graveyard with a friend or two, we usually grab a small herd of banthas and I've got all the wooly hides I need for a week. Rontos on naboo, and I'm home with a pack full of hides that last me a good longtime.
If novice scouts harvested 25% of what they do now and increased slowly to what master rangers make now, then that would be incentive to take ranger. They would have a critical function in the game for alot of professions. I would probably drop scout myself and take more Dancer skills. (only novice dancer now)
