Thread: Vote: Most useless piece of clothing
(1) Heavy Reinforced Jacket = Instant Breast Enhancement.
Me: Bright blue heavy reinforcedjacket, blue and white camos, blue casual shoes, blue leather gloves, goggles tinted blue, standing silently at the shuttleport.
Guy next to me: *head twitches to the right, locking eyes on target* Hey Qitu!
Me: Yes?
Guy: Nice rack.
Me: /blush
(2) Heavy Reinforced Jacket = Stud Muffin with Chocolate icing.
Typical Cool in Black guy walks up to my vendor. *Ding!* New mail. Wooo, big surprise, he just bought the HRJ. In Black. Black Gunman's Duster, shirt and pants vanishes. Black jacket, white comfortable slacks, black casual shoes, black tipless glovesappear. His hair is that long ponytail with the few loose strands over the forehead. Black hair. The jacket has given him an instant pectoral and shoulder enlargement. Which of course made his about face slimmer and trimmer, especially in those tight white pants.
Cool in Black Guy: *turns to me and asks* "How do I look?"
Me: *heartgoes pitty-pat* "You look yummy."

I really do like that jacket.
I have, at one point or other, tried on everything in my ability to wear (I'm a human, so that's quite a bit). I have to say that there are a few things that stand out as oh-my-god-I-would-NEVER-wear-thats (more than a few, but we all have to pick our favorites... or least favorites, as the case may be).
Picture if you willa decorative headdress in, well, any color, that is created to offset the rediculous drapery of the crested vest. Add to this a pair of desert (diaper) crawlers to round out the outfit, with a pair of plywood-textured women's shoes, a metal necklace, and an innertube-like insert any belt here to complete the ensemble.
Hehehe, that's a good one. Actually, that might look kind of 60's like, maybe put a joint in the guys hand and make sure you use really bright primary colors and it might look like he stepped out of a Greatful Dead concert, ROFL.

I don't getthe attractioneither, but those black and red paramilitary camos are selling like hotcakes on Kettemoor, too. I see them everywhere.
TKAs on Kettemoor seem to be really big into decorative vests with no shirt at the moment. Fora long time it was with the Formal Skirt - apparently some especially tough TKA NPC dresses this way. But I guess too many of them have been teased for it, because now they're mostly buying thin striped pants. And again, the preferred color combination is red and black. (Is the Dark Horde making a comeback and nobody told me?)
I dropped my prices on packs to basically equal with each other to test a theory, and yeah, oddly enough, the most popular backpack for me has been the spec-ops pack. That figures, as I think it's the ugliest one in the set. But everybody wants one. My guess is that it's because of the name; all of the people wearing spec-ops dusters think that's the one they're "supposed" to wear with it. Just another example of the Garanimals thing, I guess.
And Blode, as for your "gi" tight jacket - are you kidding me? With that ugly sausage-skin front? People actually wear this thing more than once? In public? I'd much rather pair a belted vest with the pantaloons or skirt.
I agree that the paneled boots are hideous. I wouldn't have put them near the top of the list, but I'm glad they don't sell well. For a while, they were briefly popular in white on white.
Similarly, I've sold maybe two pilot's jackets in the whole time I've been playing. With that awfully short hemline (compared to, say, my favorite jacket, the better looking and much more affordable cold weather jacket) and awfully plain front, very few people want it. I did sell one last weekend, though, but still. Who wears a jacket and tucks it into their pants?
In honor of this thread, I made some Fashion Faux Pas dummies for my store last nightto teach people some do's and don'ts before the Fashion Police come to take them away.
They're a nice replacement for my Halloween costumes, though The Ghost of Wookiees Past got too many votes to get rid of for at least afew more weeks

Decorative vest with two-tone formal skirt: This is our current Big Trend. On the average day, I sell six or seven of these just from the vendor and the bazaar -- that's not counting the masses of requests I receive for them. Sometimes folks want pants, usually they want the skirt, and for the first time, I can sell those godawful sandals, since everyone's figured out that this is a very martial-artist look.

Exactly, I love having a spec ops back on my combat character because the pack is virtually invisible. It blends in with the black armor or the black cloak that he has, giving himthe moresleeker, streamlined look of a bloodthirsty, efficient killing machine
Having a big floppy, clumbsy looking pack just doesn't work.
The pilot's jackets are another of my hot items... go figure! *laughs* Personally, I prefer the cold weather jacket myself (after the desert command jacket, it's my favourite), but I just can't get those to sell. It's all about showing off the pants, I guess...
