love colour fade, hate colour depending on resource quality and random factors. Impossible to match outfits for full ensembles unless customers are willing to pay for all 20 tires till i get the pants the right colour (yeah theyll do that lol)

decay is vital, we need it.

colours need to be the same for all garments, the leather palette is both boring and horribly inconvenient

quest schematics would be great so long as its random. by this I mean random NPC x gives you quest Y which results in random schematic z. otherwise, we will have camping issues and asorted problems that amde eq the drudgery it was.

more schematics, but only if they were seen in the films. no cowboy hats, fanny packs or arobacise outfits, please.

I would like to see a very simple addition to tailoring that would allow for color-matching:

When you are creating an item and reach the color selection screen, your curser changes to a dropper (like in any graphics program). You can use this dropper to pick up a color on and item examination window you have open. This would allow a person to color match clothes made earlier or by another tailor, or create sets that matched perfectly.

Even more useful would be the ability to pick up a color on a character, but that may be difficult for many reasons.

My comments on 'the wish list':

I don't need manniquins. I drop a set of clothes in a spot, I've got instant display/manniquin.

The next patch is giving armor coloring over to armor skills, instead of tailoring skills where it is now. Why? Used to be there was a nice advantage to having the synergy of both professions. Now, why bother?

Shiny or metallic colors are unrealistic... the rendering required would completely bog down the system. I don't want the devs even wasting a moment to consider this one.

What would be nice is if Master Tailors could have an RGB wheel instead of a palette. Now that would be cool.

Other than *maybe* schematics for Imperial and Alliance uniforms, I don't want to see any *rare schematic* drops. What I would like is to see a few more enhancer drops. Actually, a LOT more. In 4 months of play, I've actually gotten 2 enhancers as loot. I actually have 5, as other players have given me 3 enhancers that they've found. Enhancers should run +1 to +5. The higher the number, the more rare it is. +1 Enhancers should be slightly more common than the storyline disks were. Particularly if we can get actual decay on clothing! Once those enhancers are attached, they'll go when the clothes go.

Just my two credits...

You know what I'd really like to see? Tailor specific catalogue items. Let me explain:

Tailors could create and hand out these items to customers. These items would be bound to to the tailor that created them, knowing all of the clothing schematics that the bound tailor is capable of. The customer could use the catalogue to view his/her character wearing anything in the catalogue (ie, anything the tailor could make) in any color. He could customize his look entirely, picking different things out of the catalogue. Once done, the customer could use the catalog item to create an order item. This order item would basically be a list of all the clothing that the customer selected, in the colors he/she selected. The customer could then give this back to the tailor he got the catalog from, and the tailor could use the order item to create the order.

What do you all think of this idea?

You know how you can make many tailors happy with minimal work?

(A)llow layering. if I want to wear a jacket over my dress and infiltrator legging under it, I should be able to.

(B)reak apart outfits/dresses. one dress like the luxurious gown could be broken up into 4 items, the scarf, the gloves, the lace skirt and the corset. this would require a person to buy each piece from a tailor and would allow more mix-and-match options.

(C)reate new items by re-texturing, simplifying, and dressing up exist items while keeping the originals as they are. we know you can do it. that's why most of the pants are shaped the same but differ in pattern, and pocket/stripe size. the reveling top retextured in dewback skin, a latex shiny pair of causal pants or a bagersett striped wooly coat would be fabulous. you could dress up the short robe with a new silky texture and getting rid of the leather on it and dress down the thin pleated skirt by getting rid of the belt and allowing color change of the black part.

I'm getting sick of people asking me for clothing items that NPC's are wearing but tailors can't make. If an NPC can have it we should beable to craft it.

One such item I have seen on some thug women, it's like a belly dancers skirt. This has very high demand with the dancers but no one can make them.

Wow, great ideas on here. I got to Master Tailor about a week ago and have been learning the ropes. (Hi Kath!)

I loved the idea about rugs and tapestires! How about an Image Designer/Tailor Combo!! ID makes a pattern (as a component) and the Tailor adds it to a rug, or piece of clothing, or Tapestry, whatever. Houses are just so boring! And the item drops at the right height to, unless they add the vertical movement thing.

What about letting us make "slip covers" for furniture? Draperies, etc...

Yes, the color pallets are weird. Why does the intricate fress 2nd color give me 2 identical color choices? Off-white, or off-white? ANd the main color pallet for that item bites! Plus the sash/strap cannot be colored? Why?

Wookies DEFINITELY need some color-lovin!

How about a better definintion of who can wear what? I'm MOn Cal and few gloves work for me. And I'm male, so the only way to know if a piece of clothing works for a female, I have to find one of the species in question and ask them to model for me. But, maybe that was planned...

Bring back decay!!

Take out the identical clothing (you know the ones, same exact thing with a stripe added, or a different "wrinkled" tecture added. Replace these with different stuff!

Seperate the Armor and CLothing tools so we have room for new schematics.

Dont need experimentation. Reduce the number of schematics SLIGHTLY allowed at lower levels and move them up the tree. Drop the whole Tailoring tree and base it on total crafting XP instead. Replace the tree with more accesories.

Fix the thing with backpacks not working with certain clothing! Fix the bug (I hope its a bug) where the items that take Cargo Pockets for components dont store anything! Add belt pouches, purses, and maybe even a "sack" for those cheapies.

Change the 7-day limit on vendors! This sucks! Make our items sortable by days listed so we can see whats not selling. LET US CHANGE THE PRICES WITHOUT TAKING IT OFF THE VENDOR FIRST! This sucks! Drop the email SPAM when we withdraw something from sale. Allow us to remove Vendor catagories we aren't using, or give us Profession-specific Vendors. I dont sell Guns, so I dont need those catagories cluttering up the screen.

Give us Mannequins! It also sucks that we have to be a Master Merchant just to have enough vendors to show the good stuff.

Make clothing NOT count against a structures ITEM limit (which is already VERY stupid) I have dozens of things to show, and 1 Tailor will quickly eat up a PA Hall item space. We can store 10 stacks of 100,000 Ore for 1 Million units and take up 10 item slots, but 11 shirts take up more space!?

/whew!

Okay, one thing that is really bothering me is that fact that you can't wear jackets over the tactical body suits or infultrator suits but you can wear vests.

This really needs to be changed. How aggrivating.

A lot has been covered already so I will try and simplify my idea here. Forgive me if some of these have already been addressed.

Customization - for master tailors - similar to the image designer allow the master tailor to modify existing clothing - take a gunmans duster and shorten it or combine it with another schematic allowing us to add a hood to it. Give us the ability to modify patterns on clothing like the infiltrator outfits - give us a slide bar like the tatoo modifier on zabraks.Let usmake the items unique to that specific tailor.

Add decay & our ability to reapir our own clothing creations - for a fee of course.

Personal shop vendors - agree 1000% - dump the time limit - this is our shop.

Dump the special resource or specific resource requirements on 1st & 2nd level tailoring - save that for the upper skills - give usa chance to make and sell all the 1st 2 level creatons.

Give us XP on everything we make - currently it is either by design or by bug - but as a novice tailor - 2nd level field wear and 1st level casual - I get nothing for fiberplast panels, metal fasners, simple shirts, nmaiden dresses - etc. May not mean much for masters but for us just starting up the tailor tree every little XP helps.

Brighter colors - Red Orange Blue - allow us to make true camoflage outfits - Hunting outfits - true desert wear to aid in helping hunters on Tatooine, Green ones for Endor - Black for Dathmor etc....Maybe even profession specific outfits - commando

More dancer & musician oufits - dress a musician like sgt peppers lonely heart club band album cover (showing my age heh)

Uniqeness is the key here - people want to be special and will pay dearly to be a one of a kind. This is why I would not want to be able to save that schematic -

Give us the ability to show the pattern and design to the perspective customer before wasting the resources on something they do not want.

Just a few ideas. Sorry did not mean to ramble on.

Clothing Decay

Stupid 7 day vendor time limit It should just go on forever or a specified time limit and then we can just take the auction down when we want. Save time limits for auctions.
