I heard tailors were gonna be suppliers for armorsmiths... supplying them with more stuff than we do already.

I also heard that BE clothing was going away...

I better start saving my credits now!

Well if you look at the BE tree, all of their tissues are still there, so I don't think that BE clothing is going away. It is possible that it won't be as effective though. This is something we need to check. I also have not seen any new schematics for armor components so if we are going to supply more it will be more of the same thing. This is just by looking at the skilltrees though.

There is a lot that needs to be tested, but we are in a holding pattern right now. No one can become an elite profession (even without frogs) because the elite trainers are disabled. That means no tailors or bioengineers (or armorsmiths for tht matter). Hopefully they will be enabled again soon!

Well, I wouldn't think there would be any new clothing with the CU, however I would have (or still do) thought there would be the following changes:

(1) Changes to available Bio-Tissues. I haven't myself looked though all the skill trees yet to see what mods are still there / changed names / changed usefulness, but I would imagine at least a passing glance should be taked to see what the fate of stun defense tissues, bleed defense, etc. etc. are in a post CU world... are the mods that are no longer useful being replaced? are new tissues being added?

(2) Not in the CU, but I do see the Wookiee expansion being a perfect area to add a new schematic or two

/agree

alot new wookie and trandoshan exclusive items should come in the expansion i would think. we shall see

I agree with Gyopi. At this point we do not have enough information to know anything useful about armor, clothing, or BE stuff. I would encourage you all to spend an hour on TC5 checking things out. There is no point being freaked out by rumors.

and don't forget to put lots of usefull information in the exit survey when you logout of TC5 - remember that we are there not only to test our profession preferences but also look for detrimental game bugs as well!

Sorry to say, but...

The clothes came with JTL was not in skill list in first sight too.. Beside combat upgrade will effect clothing.

My guess BE tissues or schematics for current clothes will change since Developers stated clothing and any type of SEA's will change depending on new system and also armor vs clothing will be discussable with CU... Because people who does not like wearing armor for immersion reasons are now almost equal with changes in CU.

Ofcourse armor will be necessary but clothing will be preferable if opponents are not so tough.

So, you didnt hear this.. just expect good changes for clothing

Armor removed from Jedi so they can be kited 'as designed' - Blixtev

Am bored at work and browing other boards. I feel the same way. Now that I play a Wookiee I am dismayed as to the variety, or lack of clothing out there. At least give us pants that are not armor!! I play a male and I can not stand the look of that skirt, especially when sitting. Not much better for the females either. I am resigning myself to the poor color choices but at least a few more clothes with BE options would be nice. Was hoping RotW would bring some new clothes but just read there is no new content for us only so that leaves clothing out! Sad, they make lots of new stuff that excludes us, but nothing in exchange.

I know I'm probably in the super minority but personally I think wookiees overdress anyway. I realize that everyone wants to feel like their character is unique and people love to customize but I guess I'm biased by SW canon. I hate pretty much all the waist wraps but seeing wookiees running around in those armor pants just makes me shake my head --it just looks so unnatural. Wookiees are creatures of the wild and I say there's nothing wrong w/ feeling the breeze blowing through our fur. I will agree that as long as we're gonna have clothes there should be some specifically feminine options for the wook ladies.

Don't get me wrong, I keep a fully stocked wookiee vendor because we need all the love we can get in this game but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm in favor of wookiee fashion choices. I'm actually heartened by the screen shots from RotW that show almost all the wooks au natural. Of course, that also is a good indication of why we won't be seeing anything new, at least on the wookiee front.

There, I said it and now y'all can't one star me for it anymore. lol

p.s. If you're curious, I generally choose to wear either a Tree Dwellers Hoor or Wookiee Battle Padding w/ Strapped Gloves. Simple and understated I think.

Nah wouldn't one star and for the most part I agree, bu the main reason we need clothes is the sea's. Personally I hate the gloves, of all the items of clothes I least likely seeing a Wookiee donning gloves. I like the tree dweller's hood and that's about it. battle padding is not bad. I like the look of the armored pants, and really hope they consider they making a non armored version. They've kept Wookiees out of Kashyyyk for a long time. Living among humans, they have to expect that we'd pick up on some of their culture.

Has anyone thought about Transdoshan clothing in the new expansion?

Or new loot drop schems?
