Thread: Setting Priorities Week 2
My #1?
Feedback on last weeks report. Feedback on everything. Is this a bug? A feature? How can well tell if something is broken if we dont know how it is meant to work in the first place?
Are you a correspondent or a reporter? A correspondent would get more than Ctrl-V, thanks for your weekly email ![]()
How I would vote:
- Bio-Engineer Biological Components
- Buggy Schematics - (Colors don't match, swap coloration areas)
- Skill-Enhancers Attachments need to specify if they are for clothing or armor in discription
- Right Left wrist radial choice for wrist jewelry
- Factory Situation and Tailoring in general -Appears toneed a total rework on design.
- Experimentation Areas (Durability, Protection (AC bonuses), Flexability (Movement bonus))
- Clothing colors and Textures (Glossy, Metalic, and More Colors like the crazy Npc drops)
I think sockets should stay random to a degree. I would like to see clothes have more value than just looks such as movement bonuses, some sort of deflection bonus to certain types of damages and so on.
Alichai, first off, good job so far. I am glad I decided not to go for the Correspondent position.
I have not read the thread but the top issue with me that I feel could be fixed is:
Item sorting in the crafter. Please set up pants, gloves, headwear, etc. categories.
After this is accomplished, please seperate these domestic arts and tailor so we can make the clothing appropriate to our profession.

Please atleast read the original post; she already sent this in with last weeks report.
I am going to throw my hat in with the folks asking for more proper deformation of belts/bandoliers on the smaller and/or femalecharacter models. They all look awful with the "hula hoop" effect, especially on the females.
And regarding clothing decay, I know poeple are asking for it in order to make players buy new clothes from time to time, but please be careful with what you ask for. If it decays too fast (like armor) all that will happen is poeple will stop buying clothes altogether. We will see hordes of people in their boxers and underwear from then on. I would like to see clothing only decay if it's socketed or has some kind of innate skillmod. Then people will wear it and they will eventually want another. But I fear no one will buy clothes if even those with no effect decay as well...

Decay needs to be in on all items for a healthy economy in the long term. A year from now players should not still be able to wear their newbie clothes, especially if they wore them all year long.
As far as asking for decay I would want something resonable and assume most people would as well. Alsoclothes used in combat should decay because they take damage even if they don't protect you from damage. Items being used by dancers and musician should decay sooner because they are tough on clothes, especially the dancers. Even running long distance and moving around prone on the ground would wear clothes out.
I think a resonable request would be that clothes decay at least as fast as armor does in combat situations. If it takes 100 battle hours for armor to fall apart it should take clothes about the same. And if the armor decay rate gets tweaked shorter or longer so does the clothing decay rate so it matches.
The Wookiee colours issue really needs to be fixed - you left it off last week's list, please make sure it's included on this week's list!
Also, the little XP we get for crafting high level items really needs to be addressed. It makes no sense that we get more for novice tailor items than Tier 4 ones <sigh>
I would realy like to see the jewelry fixed. As a tailor I have been concentrating on creating fine jewelry for all yet I can not seem to sell one piece. I am assuming it is because they can not see the item before purchase. Please add jewelry to the list. It use to work but now it doesn't so they broke it in one of the patchs.

I like the list as posted, but with wookie colors as the #5 item. Do we know when they actually plan to fix any of these prioritized issues?
And it's something they *are* capable of doing well. For some reason, Mabari Armor belts seem to work fine....
