Thread: Setting Priorities Week 2
you mean like necklaces not showing in the preview window?

Krenn yeah I think that shoudl qualify as a type A bad schematic bug. So bugs worthy of week #2 mention would be:
1) Gcxp instead of Tailoring
2) Broken Colors
3) Backwards Colors
4) Invisible items
Anything else you would put in this category?
I would save these for later:
1) wrong palettes
2) Unlabeled race/sex restrictions
3) Can't equip with other items (ie certain gloves)
Or should we jsut do one giant honkin master list with every problem, big and small?? =D
I like the list.
I would like to suggest that #5 be a daily (or maybe every log in) report of UXP. As Sue remarked above: we need more XP feedback. Combat classes get a "You've received xx Combat XP/unarmed/pistol/etc." message after every combat. Why can't we get similar feedback?
A simple "You've received xx Tailoring XP" with the "wait for hopper to output" message would make me feel a lot better. Perhaps a daily email stating "You've received XX Tailoring/GC/etc. UXP"? Or even a system message at log-on (or whenever that "channels listed" message comes up), that gives you a grand total of the UXP since last log-on.
It is my understanding that we receive UXP whether online or not. I believe that harvesters don't actually run while you're offline, butrather, they run a "catch-up" simulation as you approach them and they getdrawn in that calculateswhat yourresourceyieldwill be since you last emptied the hopper. I would think then, like harvesters, that the UXP does not get calculated until we log on, and the system runs a similar "catch-up" program. Perhaps he results of this can be displayed as a system message as it's being added to our XP total? (Mind you, I'm probably wrong and the UXP is actually calculated some other way.)
Anyway: #5 Give us more reports on our Tailoring CXP and UXP.
"you mean like necklaces not showing in the preview window?"
Yes - No necklaces show in the preview or craft windows anymore. This actually happened in Beta at one point and then was reversed. So I imagine they could fix it pretty easily.
Hmmmm.. I WOULD like to know how much UXP I'm getting every day.. but I dont think I would like a msg after every craft. (personally, I would prefer not to play that way). The system needs to be more transparent however, as far as UXP goes.. - we have no way of knowing if we are really getting what we should, or what?
Yes seems like this would make a great #5.
Any disagreements?

The big honking list got results in beta. When I nitpicked every schematic though novice tailor, they fixed 90% of those problems. I think it's easier for them to see balance issues (xp problems specifically) when they're presented as a whole rather than one here and one there.
I like your choices, here's my vote:
5. on-screen notification, or summary report.
4. Various options for experimentation (otherwise what is the crafting station for if you aren't making armor)
3. In game spreadsheet reports (not likely to happen)
2. When you receive mail that an item was sold, have it also state it's selling location (i.e. blah blah sold to blah blah from vendor: Tony, or moenia, naboo bazaar) I don't know about you, but I can't keep track of whether or not items are selling from my store or the bazaar
and last, but most important:
1. (not so much a Tailor thing, more than a merchant thing) House and Vendor Statistics. I would like to know how many people entered my shop. I would like to know how many purchases and views my vendor had (since last check is fine). This would at least give us an idea of things like location, quality and diversity of goods, and then we could work to fix things like that in our business.
#4) buggy schematics
Yes this needs to be worked on from your above list. Some details I've found are:
Weighted wookiee wear, all have the wrong color palets.
Casual IV twi-lek brone crest and lukku wraps give GCXP not Tailoring xp (was acklowedged by dev in beta but not fixed)
Many semi-broken schematics like the Light bustier color I being white/white selection. I believe the Luxurious gown also does this. As a couple of others I can't think of off the top of my head. (can't get in game atm)
Also several dresses take the "backpack" slot when worn such as the luxurious down and master lvl gowns (at least they did in beta, can anyone reconfirm?)
Jewelery not showing up in the preview menu. This was fixed in beta but has come back. No one is going to want to buy something they can't see, and its hard to customize something you can't seeeither.
Rings and such don't show up on the character. Guess this goes towards invisible items as well.

Speaking of backpacks. How many women (and...er...men?) would love to have a purse of some sort that served the same purpose of a travel pack (or at least held 20 extra items). That way she could wear her beautiful dress and not have it scarred by a back pack at all. Your thoughts?
I like it! but if you have a purse you should loose your backpack slot & only be allowed a 1 handed weapon (pistol)
I would like to see the Clothing tool actually have different tabs for each type of clothing: Hat, Gloves, Shirt, Robes, etc...
Even when/if they break up the list, it takes awhile to get to the right area of the list with everything in there.

This might be so obvious that we miss it, but I would really like them to fix belts. I just hate the hula-hoop effect that every belt I've tried so far gives. Sure, it's not a big issue, but it is a whole empty slot that we could fill if the belts only looked decent.
I would also like to know if User XP is working, and how much I'm getting. Maybe just an email report when I log on or something since I wouldn't want a bunch of XP spam.
I would love to be able to experiment on slots. As more skill attachments are found there is going to be more demand for slots and I would like to be able to influence my chances at getting a slot in a piece of clothing.
