Thread: Curious what some of you are charging for a few new items
Windged hawtpants: 6500
Slave Skirt : 6500 (might have to go up if I can't meet demand any better than I am now)
Cloak : 2k if you buy from me directly (still more than I usually charge for the old one), 4k off of bazaar

Geesh... I've been selling my hood up cloaks for 8k. I made 'sets' of the metal bikini top and the revealing skirt (so they match) and sold them in sets for 15k. If you sold your cloaks for less than 8k than you missed a golden opportunity and probably cannot keep them in stock. 8000 credits is nothing for most people in this game.
That is what I tell people. Someone complained that 3K was too expensive fora hooded cloak (but they went along with it anyway) and I explained that non BE/Loot schematic clothing is one of the cheapest things you can buy in SWG. Many of the clothes that I am hand crafting cost less than what you can buy a discarded CDEF pistol on the bazaar for. Unless someone is a completete newbie (this person was a Teras Kasi master) there is absolutely no reason to complain about the price of clothing.
ummmm no offense but why are you charging LESS for a master tailor item needing 400 hide then a field 1 item needing almost zip?

On Valcyn me and my partner charge the following:
Revealing Skirts - 15000
Hooded Robes - 6000
Winged Hawtpants - 6000
Grand Mayoral Robe - 15000
Cargo Vest - 7000
Padded Pullover (Umpire Vests) - 4000
Quilted Pants - 5000
Basic Camo - 3000
Dark Sash - 2000
* Prices are being adjusted this week and next to see what sells at what price. The above are the basic starting prices and some of them I expect will be lowered like the Padded Pullover because it is fugly.
Ithorian clothing I am still pricing out. Only got as far as the jackets but if you email me in game (Chaloe) I will gladly send you the price list we will be using in my shop as soon as I have it completed.

I have fun being a tailor and sure hope those setting higher prices are still enjoying their work more then their profits.
Believe or accept or not, we mean nothing to economy other than being a consumer ourselves. Think about it.. we are talking prices like 1K-2K here... Tell me which other crafting proffession has those prices while crafting process and time spend is same? To buy 15 clothes =5 minutes of 1 mission. If people really care about money and whine about prices of clothing, then let them wear their million-worth composites.
an example from chef: making a +420, 44 minutes brandy 50 fil, 21 uses costs what? a crate of 25 costs lower than 30K, tell me did you see any chef selling like x2 price of cost , 60K a crate. or droids.. 1500 credits an R3 unit with 6 modules included, what? least 40K around..
How many of us can sell from vendors without getting a custom order just to pay costs of vendors / harvesters / factories because you cannot make all colors at same time that people may like?
Does Clothes decay? Dopeopledeletes their clothes afterthey are0/1000? Does anyone wears something besides composite because they buy them 250K a set even you sell your clothes total 10Ka brandnew wearing? Does Bio-Engineers sell below 2K a tissue even it is worst quality?
Sorry mate, I enjoy being tailor and I enjoy setting up my prices. Ofcourse competition is all fun but that we does not deserve "whines" about prices.
Thinking about real life economics, I'm in this business for long years. Clothing business.
Do you think full suits you saw in CK worth 4000 Euros / USD. Do you think Levi's Jeans worth 100 Euros / USD least... Do you know how much they cost? You will laugh probably, I'm in a company where Levi's buys their fabric and other equipment (like buttonsand threads) and our company sells same to other local jean marks. The super jeans you buy for over 100 USD from Levi's costs, 3 USD, believe it or not... Include shipment - being trademark, and taxes, max and max10 USD.
After being in business you really notice how good ripped you are. But as long as 'income' of people who buys them allows them to buy those with money spared from their income. We all do IRL. and here is no different, a simulation of real-life economics where everything is player crafted/supplied.
And yes, I enjoy my business a lot and I set my prices to level that I can continue to a business I love and live more of a life outside in a social world of Star Wars Universe besides sitting in house with my crafting tools and craft all day.
