What i hate is that the chef items were given to us, they are plain and dull but just given as a free gift. Then the neat new content of the crafters apron and new leotard are rewards for doing Jabba's palace. Now I'm a true crafter, I couldn't kill a crazed durni for the life of me so you can only imagine what Jabba's palace would do to me...

I have seen that apron on NPC's for some time now and always wanted it....now it's here and not in my reach.

I sure am feeling like chopped liver from fellow gamers and soe!

As a tailor, I have never made a largebank roll and im not about to pay a comando 100k to effortlessly go get me a schematic!

**smells self*...yup...chopped liver....

I usually don't keep a title up (RP reasons) but when I ran Jabba's I thought "you know, just for gits and shiggles, let me put up my master tailor title and see what happens." Got one schematic free, and another for about 45K. Not a bad way to do it if you can't run the missions yourself, or get a friend to help you—just sit around right out front of the palace with your title on and see if there are any kind hearted souls around—there's usually at least one. (For what it's worth, I consider these looted schematics to be somewhat gated content…but I've got that little bit of pistoleer, so I muddle my way through it as best I can)

I sat outside of Jabba's and sent a tell to everyone I saw come in or out. A lot of people wanted to give me the schematics, but of course I paid them nicely for them. After all, they earned it.

I've already made my "you nearly depressed me out of being a tailor" post, so I ask this: is it possible to enjoy being a tailor? I mean, I have image designer too, and when I get done with both I have a couple guildies who want me to help them with a complete make-over, from face to clothes, which is the sort of thing I really want to do with those classes, make appointments with clients, charge them a modest sum, show them what's possible, make suggestions, etc. Is it possible to enjoy tailoring that way or any others way, or is the hassle simply too great?

Well lest you think tailoring and ID sucks - I gotta say it's a great combination. I have people coming to get new looks from everywhere. Usually I do the image design first before outfit selection (especially with twi'leks and their wacky skin colors.) In general, though, my "in person" interaction is for ID, and I vendor up the tailoring, mostly because lately I simply don't feel like divining what people want, and 1100 items on the vendors is enough. But for people I know and like, it's great to play with outfits and colors - but I won't do it with people I don't know because it's just too hard to guess.

As an addendum to that story... I contacted one of the higher-ups in the rude girl's guild and mentioned that one of the guildies was mean to me. He immediately knew who it was, and assured me that this ... female canine .... believed that crafters only existed for her personal benefit, and, in fact, that everyone in the game existed for her personalbenefit, and if the guild policy were not so stringent about not kicking people out, except for an egregious offense, he would have booted her long ago. That at least made me feel much better about people on the server.

Coincidentally, this lovely player ran into my fiance while he was hunting and (not knowing that he was my fiance) started rambling about whether his guild had a tailor who could make the schematics, and that she had the materials. I guess she can't find a tailor who will make her stuff (*snicker*). My fiance told her that I was only making items for guildies (which is true - I don't fancy being someone's 3-use personal slave). She then killed the mobs that his group was camping - and when one nightsister broke off and ran toward my fiance's group, she ran after it yelling "I NEED THAT NIGHTSISTER!!!"

There are just complete and utter smacktards in the world. Can't be helped.

*laughs* I hope it was a spellweaver, and I hope it kicked her…posterior. So, yeah, there are lots of functional retards in the world—but there are also lots of really nice, really cool people. The trick is figuring out which is which before they've got you pulling out your hair.

Now she can't find anyone to make her items and is trying to sell me components. Too bad I won't respond to her tells or e-mail. Policy is not to deal with smacktards, even if they have something I want.

Ah, the irony. "I don't get it—why won't anyone deal with me? I've ordered them to enough times…maybe I should try again?"

Had something similar happen to me, and I have to say it was very satisfying. I've taken to buying up all the crystaline clothing treatments on the bazaar even though I have more than I have leotard schematic uses, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm preparing for the future, or because I just want to make life more difficult for someone that slighted me and really wants a leotard.
