I'm fairly new to to the forums but have been playing for a vey long time, I became a tailor early on and am now back and recently master... Anyhow, the biggest boon to a tailor in my opinion would be to experiment for ANY effect. I wouldn't care if the inital effect was resource based, metals which have a high heat or cold resistance used in an item could potentially transfer that into protection via experimentation. Same goes for decay resist in hides and such, through experimentation we could raise the condition of those precious BE mod/skilltape loaded items.

I think boots tend to do that sort of thing with a *lot* of skirts and dresses - maybe even most of them. I always recommend a "low" shoe of some sort for customers buying skirts and dresses.

Advancement: There are levels of ridiculous in many parts of the game but we do take an insane amount of time to advance. I began in early beta. I never did the grind for tailor and it took me about 5 months to master. I went from NO ENTERTAINER to MASTER IMAGE DESIGNER in 55 minutes. I admit that I did the grind for that one like a crazy woman.

Clipping: The art department has to make the clothing designed for every body type. So you have degrees of height and fatness to each character. That means a whole lot of slight modifications on each item of clothes. Let's look at the robe of honor. It has shoulders, stomach, waist, thighs, calves, and armsto be considered to how it drapes and moves with the body. They need to adjust for each race possibly too, but I can't be sure how they implemented the character meshes. Certainly on hats they do.

Whenever you see a character animate, this complicates things. For simplicity of code, they assume everyone is wearing skin-tight clothing. Watch a person move in the robe of honor. Pistols, hands, arms all move into the clothing, because it is voluminous and drapes outward. The exquisite dress has a tight skirt that has to conform to the legs, but the character's boot tops will almost certainly pop out as they run because it assumes the person is wearing pants, not a gown/dress.

Essentially, the art department took neccessary steps to reduce their workload. Otherwise the game would barely be ready for beta and would still be waiting for art. I bet some of us can remember when creatures were placeholders, instead of actual art models.

Bras: Hmm, I'd love to actually see cleavage on my character. But come on... Do you really think they are going to do that?

A lot of good stuff mentioned here. Just gonna add my two cents ok maybe ten.

Would absolutely love it if necklaces showed, and if we had some sort of neck form or something to show them on. Would really like it also if we knew which colors went where in crafting. They differ from necklace to necklace.

Next, definately wish the colors were more consistent from item to item. And why can't we have red boots? Also hate the limitation in colors on wookie clothes. Just generally wish if you are a master you get a full palette of colors on all things.

Hate the limitation in headgear. More variations in hat styles would truly be appreciated.

In regards to fitting issues, I am with the person who thinks that belts should fit around the waist on open fronted jackets and around the jacket on closed front jackets. Also would love it if they fixed the hulahoop looking issue on the belts.

Having possible texture changes and trim variations, such as sparlkles, feathers and what not is a great idea.

Would really love it if there were glasses and earrings in game. Since there is already those options on Bazaar. Maybe hair ornaments in addition to new hat options. Just don't make the glasses options the same as the special edition glasses.

ok, dealing with the cargo pockets thing. Have looted some cargo pockets that let you put stuff in them, while others don't. I think the items that have cargo pockets in them should be able to hold items. Belts, sashes and bandoleers. Just not as much as a pack, maybe limit them to ten or 20. would also be nice if the satchel could be made by tailors, but even if not, it should be able to be worn and be able to store items in same as sashes, etc.

I think those are my major issues, other than moreclothing general items and other stuff mentioned in previous notes. I am a Master Tailor and intend to stay a Master Tailor, just wish we could be more creative. Tired of making cookie cutter clothes and everyone looking the same.

Thanks.

1. Necklace bug
2. Expanded color palatte for leather items (though I disagree and do not believe it should be the same palatte as the other.
3. More shoe styles
4. More wookie clothing options
5. Faction schematics for tailors

1. Clothing deterioration: clothes should no longerbe equipable at 0/0

2. necklaces need to be visible upon crafting

3. clipping needs to be remedied

4. backpack sockets [so they'd actually work]

5. allow standard colors [such as black, white etc.] from different pallets [regular, leather, metal] to match properly.

1) Fix the necklase bug

2) MORE COLORS ON BOTH LEATHER PALLETS

3) MORE COLORS ON BOTH LEATHER PALLETS

4) Schemtics we are asking for not only we get just because someone else wants them.

5) LET US MAKE THE CLOTHING IN GAME THAT WE CAN'T MAKE

Personally, I would like to see the following:

1) Decay needs to work. 0 condition clothes should not be equipable and 1/1 condition clothes should decay. If they would add use based decay to this I would really be happy!

2) More *clothing* schematics. I know its a lot for the art department, but this is what everyone wants, whether they are a tailor or not! All of the clothing has been around for so long that almost every combination has been tried and it is time for some new and interesting things to play with.

3) The necklace bug. We kept being told that this is a really difficult bug, but no one will say why its so difficult. It looks to me like the camera is just pointing in the wrong place. This is the kind of lack of attention to detail that just makes the game look bad.

4) Colors! We should have a nice yellow and dark red (not pink) in the full palette. Dusters and boots should have the full palette. So should exquisite leotard and the luxurious gown. These just scream for having the full palette!

5) Purses. This might not belong in the top 5, but please please please give me a purse, or at least an invisible backpack! I love the wear a lot of the gowns and they just look stupid with a backpack.

6) (this one doesn't count). I hope you can get some of these looked at! There are still top 5 issues that have not been addressed from Vandessa's original list! Its hard to be motivated to improve things when they are like this. Aside from this recent explosion and tailor/armorsmith hatefest that has been going on for the past few days (probably from all the pent up frustration with our situation), this forum has been one of the most positive, helpful and constructive of any of them. We are exactly what the devs say they want to hear and pay attention to, but it feels like we are being ignored most of the time. We don't even know what direction they are sending us in or what kind of things are in store. It would be nice to know that we aren't just drifiting aimlessly and we aren't the class that they use to dump all the extra little things that are needed to revamp other classes when they can't fit them anywhere else.

Maybe my memory is bad and this was always so, but every Ammo bandolier I've made this week comes out with zero sockets. Is this new since this last patch? I am pretty sure I used to make them with the usual 3/4 sockets like all the other bandoliers and sashes.

1. The Necklace Bug. It's been a problem for the longest time, and I think it's high time it was fixed.
2. New Clothing Schematics. The proposed items from Kwee's poll are wonderful, and I would love to see at least some of them brought into game. Heck, just seing my #3 would make me happy.
3. expanded color palettes (I would LOVE a standardized color palette for eveything). I see no reason why the Exotic Dancer's Leotard should not come in RED. I've always wanted a red leotard, hehe.
4. A new toggle-able (hehe, new word) textures for some clothes. Having a suede-like texture for things like dusters and boots, and glittery textures for all things glamorous.
5. Fixing decay. I'm really not a big fan of time- or use-based decay, but I believe that items that fall to 0/0 should be destroyed. The thing is that there are players who will most likely quit the game if all their precious million-dollar skill tapes go away, so perhaps if clothing tapes were made removable from clothes, as well...

That's my two cents. I know I'm new to the board (I'm fairly new to Tailoring, about one month-- but I love it and I've been very successful at it, and I hope to continue to be), but I hope that the community's voice will be heard.

Thanks

I think the ammo bandolier is a domestic arts item, so unless you have some engineering skills....

Yep. I'm Master Artisan too, so I have all my engineering skills. But I also have a terrible memory so I can't really recall if I ever could make ammo bandoliers with sockets. But since it's not on the things with no sockets list...? I was wondering.
