I really am happy they gave me another reason to keep efficiency. I am in need of sp, but I found it very hard to justify dropping it. I might actually be able to open an outlet shop on another planet or two. The one thing that bugs me is the cap on the vendors, I'm really going to have to break up my stock into small categories. My shop already has close to 1k clothing items alone. I just hope they come up with aneasy way to transfer items between vendors. It's going to be a big pain to unstock and restock to a new vendor.

Umm. I just logged on for the first time today about 20 minutes ago. Had to wait for a download. It read patch_10.tre. ??? Is this part of the trickle out?

I haven't heard anything about patch 10 coming anytime soon. They're still doing the jedi quests on TC2 as part of patch 10.

meh, I'm still emptying out my vendor. This whole nerf has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, the devs can bite me if they think I'm going to split my clothing vendor onto two vendors, it can all burn (or at least sell for 6k on the bazaar over the next month).

While the original changes bothered me I like the new changes alot better. As a 3/4/0/3 merchant I've often wished I had more vendors. The increased items while only a 250 max is still better than what we could have gotten. I know so many people that are quitting over this and while I understand the frustration I just can't bring myself to drop a proffession I love when I can find a work around easily enough. I guess it's like my mom always says, I'm too upbeat for my own good.
My motto has always been, "Every problem has a solution." I'm sorry that so many people on Valcyn and on other servers feel that this is death sentence for them. I wish I could say something that would change your mind. I know you're unhappy but in my opinion you have to keep trying and hope that we as a community of not just tailors but all crafters will have our voices heard. Until then my faith is in the hands of NJ and the other correspondents that the devs will listen to them and we'll get what we want. Until then I'll work with what I have and do the best that I can.

This change is a commodities market change with the commodities market server, and has nothing to do with the merchant revamp. As I understand it, the only way that TH could get us higher limits was to increase the number of vendors instead of the limit on each individual vendor, and somehow that is easier on the database than a small number of vendors with larger item limits. If it's a choice between 6 vendors at 250 or 12 vendors at 250, my answer is 12!
We're all sort of in the dark about this change, but I'll try to get more details about the logistics.

NJ62,
I dont follow this at all I though the reason that Sony were putting limits on vendors was to reduce the lag and via the number item and of course making merchant skills more important.
However this change to me seem to go against both these ideals, giving people more vendors is likely to increase the items listed for most people. As we have seen here people are suggesting opening more stores in other locations. While I am pleased to see the limits increased on vendors I dont believe increasing the number of vendors is the right way to go.
I think you alreadyhave put forwardgood reasons as the skill changes and how they devalue the merchant skills rather than increase.
Would it be possible to get a answer from sony as to what problem or issue they are trying to solve with the changes ? Honestly I do wonder other than the current skill dropping problem if it need changing.
