Thread: I feel so....girly

I too am a male tailor, and I gotta agree with the previous posters. Even thought I'm a dog-ugly Bothan, the chicks dig me. Especially if I'm willing to spend 20-30 minutes helping them pick out the right outfit. They also provide me with the best referals. So I get to make bank, spend 20 minutes looking at a good looking avatar, everyone wants to be my friend, I can't think of a better profession. I have 2 male friends who play the game, ones a TKA, the other an amorsmith, and I've never gotten any flak from them about being a tailor. Probably because I tend to have 10x the cash they do

Tramium, since you have field 4, you should be grinding either cartridge beltsif you have steel, or grenadier's belts if you have iron. Remember to turn on practice, and you'll get 299 xp each. That's more than double those damned ribbed shirts, and definitely makes things go WAY quicker.

I'm a male tailor. My character is male as well, even though I would have many more fashion choices as a female.

I feel your pain...for me, its my creative side expressing itself. Color combos, etc. My mother was an artist so I've got that gene, and designing outfits for people allows me to make use of my eye for color.

Don't get caught up in that sterotypical male stuff. If you enjoy it, go for it.Women are allowed to follow "masculine" persuits without getting a great deal of crap for it, so why are men oftenmocked for doing something seen as "feminine". Let's not forget that traditionallytailoring was a male pursuit, and was NEVER considered girly in any way.

I get a lot of crap for it from my non-SWG friends. What's the name of that gay guy on TV? Christoper something or other? I get that one alot

One thing I'll tell you though, a woman can't resist a straight man with a sense ofstyle

Hah! Trust me, I understand your pain, Donnah. I'm also a female, in real life and in game, and I've always been looked at askew when I try to play these games. I play with my man, and have been assumed, many times, to be male. (I suppose that's because I have one armorsmith/tailor and one bounty hunter character).

Its really uncomfortable, to be honest, to always be assumed to be male. I suppose its the same as when the fellows are called effeminate for being tailors.

Of course.. if we could convince all you men that it is terribly girly to be tailors, and you all gave up the profession, the market would be even wider open for us! So, you'll hear no self-esteem giving from me. *smile*

I'm a male tailor, and I don't feel girly at all. Money's good, meet a lot of great people, and it's fun customizing outfits. I think i've only gotten made fun of a couple of times, but not from anyone whose opinion matters. I'm also an Expert Gunfighter, soon to be master, and run a rebel guild out of the basement of my guild hall. The main floor's the showroom of course. Tailoring is a great profession, just have fun with it.

it's usually the customers that are embarrassed when they email me and assume that i'm a guy, then come into my store, realized i have a female avatar, asks, and note that i'm really female *gasp*

everyone assumes i'm a guy. i kinda got used to it, and i get a good laugh out of it. i gotta say, Pappi *doesn't* sound like a girl's name @.@

Butch, am I? *laughs*

I suppose I have my masculine qualities. I do enjoy going out with the boys on a hunt on occasion. I'm actually a little embarrassed by my love of tailoring. I don't wear any of my sexy clothing, yet its just fun to make it.

Alas, I'm an honest to God female, weird that I'd have to convince folks of that in this game.
