I can't wait for BE tissues to work properly, and in factories....

"I'm sorry, but the +25 bleed resist duster can only be made in pink."

Oh, and thats my toon on the left there, not me IRL....

I'm male as well. I have several repeat customers who come to me for most there tailor made items. I co-run my PA. I'm also a Pistoleer.

Personally for me the last thing on my mind IRL is clothing. I just throw on what I have clean and try to match it up somewhat. IRL I would never be a tailor. It just isn't very interesting to me.. But in game, I love tailoring. I love making people look unique and setting them up with a nice outfit that suits there personality.

So don't feel bad. There aren't a crapload of us around, but there are quite a few male Tailors

people TRY to laugh at me..... then i look at my bank account.... shhh heres a secret.... tailors have the HIGHEST profit ratio vs resources spent. 100 resources for a cloak? selling for 3-5k? cmon.... laugha ll the way to the bank.

Male tailor here. Don't know about you guys, but when i first started out, I'd get offered lots of duels in town for some reason. Flashforward to today, not many do after seeing the handful of duels I won. Nothing better than laughing at your incapped foe while a group gathers around to hurl the insults at the poor slob.^_^

Gamer geeks playing a sci-fi RPG have precious little room to point fingers and laugh at ANYBODY.

And anybody who thinks tailoring is effeminate has never been 30 feet above an orchastra pit on a rickety extension ladder trying to attach acouple hundred pounds of black velvet curtain to a half-inch pipe of dubious load-bearing capability.

Of course, we sewed them before hanging them, but if we had to whipstitch them in place, we could, because we're tailors, dammit! *swagger*

You think you get laughed at, try being a male computer programmerIRL and a female tailor in-game.But seriously, if your friends laugh, just realize, ChotaM is correct. Tailors yield the highest profit ratios. And to make matters worse, the actual in-game benifit of clothing is 0, and yet people will pay 3-11K just to look cool.

I guess it depends why you play the game..

I run into new people all the time..

Talking with them, seeing what they want, trying to figure out what I can make to meet thier needs.. the interaction is very cool... Much more fun than stomping around
trying to find 15 Flynocks to kill to complete the hunting mission...
That part is a BIG draw for me..

And once you make a name for yourself selling high quality synth cloth and reinforced fiber to Armorers, they start finding YOU... My factory runs night and day.. and I can't keep up with the 4 guys who buy from me....

These kill everything types love thier armor.. and the good stuff can't be made without you...

I get laughed at plenty in real life - I'm a male playing a female Tailor/Dancer/Hairdresser.

Doesnt bother me though, my friends are only kidding, and they all come to me in game for clothes anyways. The people I know in game mostly know Im a guy, and none of them make fun of me.

I have no problems with anyoneas a male tailor. In fact, most people love the title of Uniform Marshal. I can make a bunch of money just sitting in the Anchorhead tavern with my trusty Treadwell Clothing droid 'Weaver', makingclothes to order. It beats trying to dance and getting constantly called gay by d00dz. (Who usually ask me to make them look 'cool' as soon as I drop the entertainer title and put the tailor one back up.)
