Thread: OMG Master Level Items for under 2000 credits
Of course, our brains could both be baked from the Tatooine double suns.
I'm not a Master Tailor either (though I'm close). But some people think my prices are too low. I don't pay attention to other peoples prices, so I don't know.
I don't have millions. But I don't know what to do with the money I do have. It's not like I'm gonna retire to Theed in 30 years.
The whole resource market boggles me, 5cr per unit? People pay that? Ouch. I'm sitting on over 80K of Fiberplast (and steel, and Polymer, and about 30K hides of assorted types) and my stock grows daily from manual harvesting. I had just figured it was the grinders or Architects who bought resources for that much.
I do feel for you people who feel that their getting pinched. I hate to hear about that kinda thing. I read the price list that started this thread, and I do think I would charge more. But I base my prices on how much of a pain it was for me to make it, how much I'd buy it for as one of my other characters (given their financial outlook), and somewhat on demand. Resources never even really enter the picture.
Ok, I've confessed .. throw snowballs at me now.
A. Kimusume - I notice you are part of a PA. Presumably the other master crafters in your PA use the same system as you - costing resources at 0.65 credits each and then working out what it takes to make a 300 per cent profit (I make this 2.6 credits per resource, but maths isn't my strongpoint).
Do you have any gunsmiths, armorsmiths or droidsmiths? If so I'd really like to know the locations of their vendors, or maybe just their names so I can e-mail them a custom order. I can guarantee they'll have a new customer in me. Many thanks.
On Flurry I know weaponsmiths and armorsmiths that won't buy even the good resources gfor more then 3cr per, though for the good stuff it usually is about 4-5cr each. The everday regular items you can pick up from about 2-4cr and if you shop around enough you can get things for less then 1cr per.
Everyone gets the pants in a bunch whenever they see another tailor selling things at prices they think is inappropriate and comes screaming about how little they value the time and effort to make the items etc..
Its a game and different people like to play in different ways. Some people really WANT to sell 50-100 items a day, have to restock their vendor, get loads of tells etc.. because they enjoy it. Others only want to deal with selling 20 items a day.
Just like some people can justify charging 10 credits per resource, some 3cr, some 5 cr. Its all a matter of perspective. Play the game you want to, charge what you want, and if another tailor doesn't like it, well let them complain until they are blue in the face.
Fawe
There's something that hasn't been brought up, and that's the fact that the gouging might very well come from a completely different source. It's extremely possible that the person used any of the number of duping bugs, since it sounds like she hit Master Tailor days before anyone else on the server. And by using that bug, you can completely and totally discount prices because you have no concept of how much it really costs to make them.
I'm not saying the person did dupe, I'm just saying the two legit Master Tailors that I do know just recently hit Master, and have been grinding constantly to get there. Whereas the person who posted those prices said she'd been a master for a week or so already.
If you had a manufacturing plant when the game first started, you got 100% xp from the things. I got my first factory and used it to make reinforced fiberplast panels and got about 20,000 xp from one run. Then that massive xp gain from factories was nerfed to like 5% the next day. LOL
so my guess is that some of the players who made it to Master Tailor quickly took advantage of the 100% xp gain and ran like 4 factories at a time... plus grinding. On our server I think there was a master tailor in like 2 weeks...
My server is pretty consistant all around with pricing for clothing. If we sold them too cheap, the business men would buy them up and sell them on their vendors and make a profit out of them.
I don't think using the bazaar is necessarilya good way to figure out your pricing, especially for master tailors.
The bazaar is where the most undercutting and heavy competition is going on and the result is typically very low prices. I never did play the bazaar game, but the lowest prices I hear about are almost always from the bazaar. Of course, if you play the bazaar right, and offer the right products in the right areas, you can find ways to charge very nice prices. But for a really populated server like mine, the bazaar is really only good for advertising purposes.
I have no problems selling my stuff for galaxy wide tailor prices on the bazaar.
Dang I wish she were on my server.... id buy everything from her and resell it on a different planet for 5-10x the price just to stock my venders on the two planets she isnt on. It would be great because then I could spent my time crafting more for people instead of venders. Im glad I was the first master on my server and made my money because some of these people have turned us inside out from Gucci to Walmart and now with this... Dollar Gereral.
LOL
Oh well. I tried.
