poor girl stuck in my tent named 'expeirment' must think I am nuts,

handing her stuff she cant wear, trying to force her clothes off, shoving strange items into her hands...

thankfully our vendors aren't Unionized

I picked up a Wookie robe from a loot vendor the other day in the hopes that it would remove my vendor's head gear but she just waved it off and would take it at all

A couple of the recent publishes have changed the way you can dress/undress vendors. Since long gloves can now be worn with jackets you can't use them any more to removea jacket. I've also found that the Tactical Skinsuit doesn't work to remove gloves from a vendor - the suit is equipped over the gloves (giving a very strange effect). So far I haven't been able to figure out any way of getting gloves off since these changes came into effect. I bugged the Tactical Skinsuitissue in game (but the "long glove" issue seemed to be more of a fix than a bug so I didn't report it).

Cheers,

I think it was publish 22. It's not in the notes or anything, I found out by accident when I was trying to redo my vendors' outfits. It makes me wonder whether they are doing some recodingin the depths of the system.

but is that just vendors or PCs as well?

as vendors have been buggered on clothing since biolink came in, I would attribute it to that more then a change in how we can layer.

I'm fairly certain that the long gloves thing is vendors and PCs, I'm sure I tried it on myself, but I'll have another look. I think the Tactical Skinsuit is just vendors.

Edit: Have just tested the long gloves it is just vendors. When I equip long uniform gloves on myself my jacket unequips.

long gloves and jackets is indeed Players as well... I've had customers get the dress uniform jacket and long gloves, which I know before never worked... also seen them with doctor's dresses and long gloves.. tho dunno if that was always possible hehe.

Long Uniform Gloves have always been equippable with the Dress Uniform Jacket, Doctor's Dress and the Shortsleeve Jackets, as their sleeves only go to the elbow. Vendors and NPCs. Vendors have been able to equip long gloves over longsleeve jackets and shirts for some time, perhaps always, even though we cannot. Vendors and PCs can wear Cold Weather Gloves (haven't tested other long gloves) with the Traders and Transport Flightsuits and other bodysuits.

It's very curious indeed.

Some gloves seem to cover only up to the wrist. Some up to the wrist plus the bracelet slot. Long Uniform Gloves up to the elbow. You can wear long gloves with a bodysuit, but not with a dress or jacket so I always assumed bodysuits take up only thelong bodyslot (neck to knees but not arms).

Most Dresses take up the body, neck to ankles and arms. Jacketstake the chest and arms slot and could be either long arms or short arms (to the wrist or to the elbow). Vestsequip overthe chest/shirt slot? (Crafter's Apron is a vest but Chef's Apron is a jacket?) Skirts can be either waist to knees or waist to ankles. Shorts and hot/hawtpants waist to knees. Pants waist to ankles. Boots equip over pants but long gloves can't equip over most sleeves. *boggle* Some skirts equip in the pants slot and can be worn by males; length isn't the determining gender factor, not sure just what is? Shirts, depending on sleeves take chest to waist or chest to waist withto the wristor elbow arms. But you can't wear a Night Sister Arm bracer withtheExquisiteor Luxurious Gownor a Revealing Fleshwrap but you can with a short sleeve or sleeveless dress and an Exotic Leotard.

Consistency and logic would be nice to have.

That's just off the top of my head without going in game to double check my bad memory. I've been a tailor since beta and still am not 100% positive what can and cannot equip with what combinations. Is it any wonder customers get confused?

Very helpful thread!

Has anyone tried dancer props yet by the way? I'd love to get them all waving with glowsticks when people walk in
