Thread: How do you set up your vendors??

Sadly I run my vendors over 2 accounts (I can't help it, I kept hitting the vendor limit even as a master merchant!)

On my account is:
The Main Boutique (Unisex & male only general clothing)
Ladies Only
Wookie Wear
Ithorian Wear
Jewellery
Backpacks (it stops people buying my special orders 'by accident')
BE Injury & Wound Treatment
BE Entertainer Wound Healing
My Special Orders pickup vendor
Stockroom vendor (in my workroom for crates, leathers & clasps)

On Maisaka's Account is:
BE Melee/Stun Defense
BE Intimidation/Warcry
BE Combat Bleeding Defense
BE Cover
BE Mask Scent/Camo
BE Creature Taming
Crated Components
(I also run a guild vendor, a snack-bar vendor and 2 vendors for friends as Mai).

BE sales have improved since splitting them up as I think customers are finding what bonus they want quicker. I know having 2 master merchants is a bit excessive but I find making clothing relaxing and I hated reaching that 4000 limit each time I got a bit carried away!

I might have to remove the "semi-retired" from my sig soon.. I'm feeling the pull of the force.. or the need to go insane again.

I'm thinking of setting up by catagory (if I do go back into business). BTW, I always kept a "backpack" vendor and it was a staple of my income, lol. Whooda thunk it.. I sold by the crates.

Does anyone have any suggestions for someone who can't master merchant (without giving up dancing *again*) and so is restricted to about 4 vendors? Maybe 5, but probably not.
I'll have three in my main shop, and one in a friend's mall, so really, I have to divvy up my shop categories between three vendors. :/

...on further examination of my char building website, I ought to be able to manage about 6 vendors, 5 in my main shop. That seems a bit easier.

Like someone mentioned earlier, people can search vendors using the clothing categories.

I decided to set-up a vendor for my special schematic items and packaged clothing sets and so far they have been selling more... since it's easier to find them. Before I had them on my BE vendor... so if people were looking for crafters aprons they may not have looked on that vendor, this way it's alot quicker for them.
