I have:
Regular Clothing
Wookie Clothing
Ithorian Clothing
BE Clothing
Schematic Clothing
Wedding Attire
Star Wars Movie Outfits
Custom Order Pickups
4 Socket Clothing.
I found keeping regular clothing on just one vendor to be far far easier when it comes to restocking. People can split things up themselves by searching catagories on the vendor, so when you come to replace sold items you dont keep accidently putting things on wrong vendor (i was forever doing this when i had vendors split into catagories)
I was thinking of adding a 4 socketed vendor... which is what sparked my thought to redesign the layout of my shop. However, if I do this, then the BE vendor won't get much use... How does that set-up work for you? Do you sell just as many non 4 socket BE clothes as you do 4 socketed BE clothes? I think I decided I'd rather have them search through the vendors for 4 socketed items instead... and hopefully buy things that are not because they like them.

For me stocking and restocking is easier split up, as I do a week long once a monthstocking 1 or 2 vendors per night during that week.
{which I found to work great for me, once a month crafting week, humorously named by males I know ingame as my 'period' when I stop chatting and craft}
In fact it starts tonight..
SAT Pull and relist all placeholders (yup just incase I dont relist a group my banthas dolls keep me going)
Craft grab -n-Go packs and stock themtonight,
Pull and relist all on Specials
SUN Ithorian & Wookiee
MON Accessorize
TUES Jewelry
WEDS Covers
THURS AllOvers
FRI Uppers
SAT Lowers
I have my 'peekaboo' vendor in my workshop so I can see what is actually sitting on vendors as I craft,
so empties of particular items (I go right down the crafting tool list) are filled,
and I can see what colors I have up to offer so I don't add more of it.
