Can we please get a real true black? I am tired of games forgetting that everyone likes black! It's in the game, I've seen vader, so why can't I buy a black shirt that isn't brown!

Some items that I color "black" come out more a dark grey for me, but this is mostly because of the texture of the item. Everything takes color differently and I'm guessing this is to simulate different types of fabrics.

But I have no problem getting many items in what I consider a good black. If you're seeing no "real" black items, check your monitor settings. Not everyone is going to see colors the same, because we're all using different monitors. I've had customers scream at me over giving them a grey shirt when they asked for a black one, only to apologize after I remind them to turn their gamma down.

She's absolutely right. Anyone asking for black needs to turn down their gamma/brightness, or find a non-colourblind tailor. There's plenty of clothing that comes out black.

Frankly, if your gamma is correct and these clothes still aren't black to you, you're likely looking for some kind of magic black that actively eats light.

ON TOPIC:
-A poncho-type garment, like Leia wore on Endor
-A plain, open-front vest (without that crappy texture that makes things look washed-oud and grey like the simple vest)
-the ability to wear NO SHIRT for men
-more male formal wear
-more regular shoes for both sexes
-some plain-style shirts/pants/coats with patterns

Ponchos, capes, holsters (ESPECIALLY HOLSTERS), high boots. All great ideas.

Clothing with armor properties? I say its only fair since armorsmiths are now able to dye armor. Yes I know they can't do what we can do, but wouldn't it be nice if we could make skinsuits/jackets/pants/etc with minor deflects added to them? Nothing to threaten armorsmiths, just something for those players who can't or won't wear armor, and of course requiring components crafted by low and mid level armorsmiths. It is a flawless plan, beautiful in its simplicity.

Panchos, more hats, holster (they don't even have to work at first just having them would be cool), boots that go better with flight suits mybe something like moon boots (any child of the 70's worth thier salt knows what I'm talking about), hooded cloaks, and craftable Rebel Commando helms from RotJ.

More headwear for females preferably somethings that doesn't cover your hair entirely.

I forgot one: Hats that don't suppress hair, caps, headbands, tiaras, etc.

DeathCarrot:

The rebel commando helm is the reward for one of the themepark quests on Corellia. It's not too hard to get, it just takes a little while. I'm trying to get one of the master tailors in my guild to make a complete outfit for me to decorate my office.

Where have you seen this? I want it!! I've been looking for this black for 22 years!

Dustin_Asche yes I know it's a reward from the hidden rebel base on corellia, you also get a swoop helm, and a flight suit. I didn't ask for them to be in the game I already know that they are, what I said I wanted is for them to be craftable.

Oooh dont get me started

Colored tank tops. They can do these with little to no effort as theyre already on male characters. They could just make the bra top women go to the waist. Some women like straps and dont care to show their bellies.

Hooded Cloaks. everytime i see that stupid bothan in anchorhead with one i feel ill.

Long Baggy Pants. Not so much that I like the style. But other people definitely would and they'd sell like hot cakes.

At least one more fashionable short dress.

More goth clothes! I like money!

Something to decorate the feet of trandoshans

A bandanna that wraps around the head.

Another type of wookiee item that covers the entire body... maybe even a female wookiee habit of some kind.

Ill shut up now

I would like to be able to put a cloak or duster on over top of armor. Since most hang open in the fron, it wouldn't disguise the armor, but I think it would look cool. I have a suit of armor in my house with a duster over it and it looks great. Just my 2 creds worth.

sorry guys, but I know what I am doing. I am very touchy about my monitor settings, and I work to keep it nice. If I turn down my gama or brightness, night time become unbareable. I am forced to use my light as it is now.

Here is my beef about the color black. I have seen vader, he has lots of texture and nice shiney reflections but his outfit is black, plain and simple. I have yet to see any clothing that is craftedthat is black. Its always, "I can get ya close". Well I am not asking for close, I want a True Black.

I would like to see:

1) More feminine boots (like Thigh-high boots or something with heels)

2) Capes

3) Hats (everyone seems to want a decent hat nowadays)

4) scarves

5) More kinds of jewelery (perhaps bands that go over upper arm, or body jewelery)

6) Species-specific clothing.

7) Holsters

8) Some tailored jackets (jackets with pinched waist...like riding coats)

9) Formal wear for men

I think I've gone on for too long....

Yes, keeping the nighttime brighter is the reason everyone I know turns up gamma on their monitor. But the nighttime in-game is meant to be that dark. It's supposed to be kind of hard to see, it's nighttime! Personally, I find it very atmospheric and creepy, to be out in the wilderness when night falls. If you're adjusting your monitor to make the nighttime graphics brighter, then you won't see any in-game colors at their best. I keep my monitor adjusted for working on web graphics, and while the black on the clothing isn't as dark as this page background, it still shows pretty obviously as black.

If you've seen him looking that dark with your monitor settings, Iguess they gave Vader the sucking-out-all-light black color, which is totally appropriate for him. But the black I have is dark enough for all my customers who have their monitor settings adjusted to the way the game is intended to be seen.

I just don't understand the obsession with black outfits anyway, I often try to show customers other options. I guess I just giggle when customers tell me that they want all black to look "unique" and "different." It's our number one selling color, so it's really not that "unique." I actually really love it when someone lets me make them a brown outfit, or a tan one. In SWG that's a much better way to stand out from the crowd!

-Male version of the sports wrap (at least wrist wraps for men!)

-Viewable catalog (make me some cool clothes. "What do you want?" something cool. "AAAH!")

-Headwear for all species/sexes (you try finding headwear as a male twi'lek!)

-Viewable catalog (so the customer can see what colors we CAN use)

-Hooded things (robes, cloaks, sweatshirts)

-Viewable catalog (so customers will know what clothes look like)

-Insignias for jackets
