Thread: What's on our plate now?

I'll go w/ number one, but why limit requests to one item? There a whole bunch of none craftable wearable out there in the game. I know they don't have time to add new art assets, but just taking a handful (two handfuls?) of some of the clothes already in the game and making them craftable would go a long way to appeasing people for a while on this front (and that lumps #1 & #2 together as an issue).

I've been a master in all my chosen crafting fields for so long I have no comment about the crafter missions (though I do understand their point that the missions are only help for newbie crafters and not designed to be their main source of income).

As far as 6 goes, well I'm a Master Merchant so of course that's important to me.

In addition to the Leia skirt I'd also like to see the Leia booties. Kind of a package deal thing. 8)

I was going to make the same comment.

I'd suggest replacing the mission payout thing with this item. The reality is that none of us were clamoring for that stupid "quest" a week ago, and what we got was useless, so who cares, it's like it never happened. And if they devs want people to actually use it, well I guess we can make suggestions on what they need to do (which we've done) but in any case it's not that big an issue in my view.

But anyway, more BE tissues and more ways to add them into a wider of variety of clothing would be a bigger item to me anyway than that stupid, useless "quest".

No. 1 in my book is palettes that match! No one likes to give their customers mis-matched outfits, and then have to give the ever-present excuse about the palettes! Also, having brighter colors to match peoples hair would be an added bonus.

I haven't been a Master Tailor for very long, but the one thing I think is really missing is the ability to make either factioned clothing (wearable only by either rebel or imperial) or the option to add the rebel or imperial insignia to piece of clothing.

The Devs want to know what Tailors would like to have in regards to the GCW, but we don't have much purpose on a battlefield

Why not let us make clothing that lets people show off their allegiance?

/agree

I've always thought that this would be a great addition to the game.

1) New faction specific clothing only craftable by faction specific tailors. Since the Shipwright in JTL will be only able to craft neutral or faction specific ships this is not a big jump. If this were to be included in JTL I would happily wait.

2) One big ol' color palette for everything.

3) NEW- how anout a structure that was crafting specific where we could display our wears? It could look the same as the current stuctures but have a larger total item limitation.

oops!

I second Mavrik - shades and hats. I dont care if we always have to wear our hair "up" to put on a hat. It would ROCK!!!!!

I had a thought, Dunno if this has been suggested before, probably a longer term sort of thing:

Assuming we get a standardized color palate, and a UI like the Image designers, What about a catalog people can place orders from in game?

Think of it like this -- Player wants a BE doctors outfit, so they go up to my vendor and since I'm a master tailor they have an option of selecting "Catalog" on the vendor. This opens up a dummy clothing crafting tool screen that allows for them to select an outfit, pick the colors, and assemble it for a charge. This is then mailed to the owner of the vendor in a pre designated schematic form.

When I get the schematic, I open it and it prompts me for the specific types of raw materials (Polymers, fiberplast, fasteners, Reinforced Fiber panels, ect) and I drag the supplies into the schematic, just like I was crafting. Since it has pre set color options, that screen if skipped and Voila, it churns out EXACTLY what the purchaser wanted!!! Then we simply notify them that its ready, and they come and pick it up!

Problem: BE Clothing may pose an issue, as the tissue used in the panel or cloth needs to be factory assembled. Getting a specific + on a piece of clothing may be real pain.

Solution: BE Clothing simply is specified as BE and what kind of BE enhancement is used on the article of clothing (Exo Leotard with Myoflex), not the specific + of the tissue.

Problem: Who can do this / at waht level can a tailor do this? Honestly I think this sort of tool would be VERY useful to any number of crafters, so perhaps a master merchant would have this ability? Thus you'd really have to work for it?

Solution: The Catalog is useable as a self only sort of thing, thus making master merchant a necesarry option as well.

Hmmmm....

I think it could work, what do yuo all think?
