Thread: Tailor Issues 7/04/03
Colors Colors Colors. I get asked for red almost every day. This question is topped only by "can you make me a duster?"
Wookie clothing colors have to be fixed. Trying to get black and guessing thats black, only to have it grey and not match the rest of the items. This damages our reputation when wecan only partially fill orders for one of our biggest customers!
Our primairy customer is entertainers and wookies, and we are not meeting the desires of either until color issues are resolved.
I agree the exp is rough for tailors not willing to grind with ribbed shirts. For a casual player, they are out of the market because 10 high level tailors are in theed with the item they want. This will become more problematic because within a month tailors will be forced to sit at a armorcrafters factory churning out cloth to make a living. If we are to be a player driven economy, then tailors should have the same benifits as Armorcrafters and Weponcrafters.
The idea about clothing giving stat enhancement is dead on. That combined with decaying clothing would keep our proffession alive. Lets hope they hear us!
Is there anybody telling the DEVs? Or are we just blowing steam to the wall? Is there a more direct way to address our problems? Do they even care? Don't they know it's Christmas after all?
And, I grind. At least until I make Novice Tailor. You can hate me if you want.
Hi. I am going to clean this up and repost it on the main board, which I have done once already. It dropped like a stone, so if you want the devs to see it, you must go to the main board and keep it up, just post and "I agree" every once in a while, and keep it bumped near the top until we get a response.
- Advancement curve is too steep. Maybe less with UXP.
- UXP doesn't seem to work on clothes.
uxp works, just not that much.
i can sit and watch my tailor xp go up by one or two once in awhile, but its nothing dramatic.
that and it seems to only work when you're in game.
another thing, when my female twi'lek wears a tech pack, it warps and contorts when i run/sit/do anything. the side canisters are modeled to move with your arms, and they're essentially attached, model-wise. so when you spread your arms, the backpack warps severly.
I am grinding, and its still slow without a stack of resources 10k each. Our guild is committed to the architect atm so my dibs are not priority hehe.
I *thought* I read that fancy/bright colors came as a result of the experimentation line of skills. I have also read that the experimentation line of skills is broken anyway. *shrug*
I know that the Dev's are attacking issues in order of priority, but I think Architect, Merchant, Tailor and any other player economy skill should be on the top of the list. I hope they give it some attention and we hear some feedback soon.
And yeah, lol...I had ten tells last night "can you make me a duster/cloak?" ....I would have been a rich man last night if I could!!!! ![]()
I grind out those shirts on Rori, Scylla. Im up to FW III, but I still cant make those dusters - no factory
The thing slowing my XP is the time it takes to get resources, since I can grind faster than they come in.

If I am reading other threads correctly, we need to find people who can provide those optional biological components. They can allegedly provide bonuses to skills, improve bleeding resistance and so on. Anyone near me able to provide these?
how exactly did you already grind out that many shirts -.-
thats like 30,000 some of metal and fiberplast :l
