so all of you have millions of dollars to purchuse skill tapes to add to the clothing....

personally it isnt worth my time....

say i collect 4 ploearm related tapes and make a pole arm shirt....i then have to hope that someone who wants pole arm enhancements will want that paticular garment in those paticular colors and it wont interfere with what ever armor they choose to wear....its just more trouble than its worth

i would rather just offer a selection of tapes and let people buy and add the ones they want

Incorrect sir by us retaining this ability we would control the market and people would either a) pay us for adding in skill tapes or b) be forced to sell us tapes or bribe us with extras at lower prices - the key here would be cooperation

and for the most part pvp'er don't usually care if a flex-form shirt is a specific color as long as it has uber tapes - if not just make all flex-form black -

im just trying to give us a bigger purpose in game

This might be too useful of a thing to do and would probably never be used by us "normal" tailors. If only a tailor could insert a skiltape, the power players and the large PAs would just make characters who's only purpose is to do this for free for themselves or their members. Just look at entertainers. It is almost impossible to get an entertainer buff at a public cantina even from real non-afk dancers. On the other hand, a lot of the larger PAs have an entertainer buff-bot who does an AFK buffing macro in their cantina for the benefitof their members (not our PA, but a lot of them). With skilltapes and armor attachments being the critical edge in PvP and upper level crafting in so many cases, I would expect to also see something simillar with tailors if we were required for these.

But you must realize that you can't create a buff bot for inserting skill tapes. We would just have a new position in the game and I doubt someone would spend another 15$ a month just to put in skill tapes. I think if the tailors worked this out right we could really make some money off of it.

It wouldn't be a "bot" but this is useful enough (critical for some people) that I am certain that a lot of PAs would make a tailor for this purpose if they don't already have one. Those tailors who are already in PAs probably would only charge PA members a nominal amount for this service anyway. I still believe that the key to tailors continuing to be successful is not having one or two "useful" skills. The real key is variety and that means we need more schematics. For every player who wants to be able to use their "uber" skilltape, there are 50 who would clamor to buy a new style of clothes so that they can be different.

hmmm i agree, you have to remember though that I am also on Bloodfin where everyone PVP's so tailors are few and far between so maybe I am not looking into the problem from an outsider's perspective. Well IDK i'll have to think more about this until i start making a big noise for no reason. I definitely would like us to be able to choose which enhancement should be activated for a skill tape.
