Thread: Are these issues addressed?

1. I think that only tailors should be allowed to add in clothing attachments during crafting so that we can have a better control on the market adn a greater purpose in clothing. Same thing for armorsmiths if they want it.

2. When one has a CA or AA with two or more different enhancements both should work instead of onyl the more power or alphabetically superior.

These are the first two issues i can think of to make us have even more of a point in the galaxy.

I disagree. This means we would be hunted down just to plop a tape into an item of clothing? Seems rather silly to do that. And if you can only do that during the crafting phase, then you can never upgrade by adding more when you find a really good one that would compliment the item.

hmmmm point taken - im still new to tailoring - but what about that fact that when you have a multi skill use tape only 1 works - then maybe one should have the option to choose which one should work at time of insert....

There are a few ways this could be addressed. First, update the SEA drop code to only assign one skillmod. Not to assign skillmods that no longer exist in-game. Not assign negative skillmods. Second, have all skillmods listed on an SEA have an effect, regardless of whether they're still in-game, or if they're positive. Third, popup a picklist during SEA insertion so the player can decide which they want to use. And various others I can't think of at the moment…but basically, the way SEAs work right now is…bad.

The popup list and choose would seemingly be the easiest to implement, though one would wonder why this has been seemingly "broken" for so long given how much money flies around regarding SEAs, especially the experimentation ones...

From a money-sink point of view it makes a bit of sense. I've got a +10 Two-handed Counterattacks / +5 Weapons Experimentation tape and I want the weapon, right? Gotta find a +11 or better Two-handed Counterattacks SEA to get it to work. So now I've gotta buy two hellaciously expensive SEAs and use two sockets just to get one measly +5 bonus…. And by the way, two-handed counterattacks SEAs don't work—that skillmod is no longer in-game…but don't tell the guy I let outbid me when I found that gem out. So…yeah. Waste your money, waste your sockets, all to get that one bonus out of 2 or 3 you really want. Fun, huh?

This is true, but I would imagine the Dev's could come up with much better money-sink ideas than this, but hey, I suppose it's a relatively minor issue in the grand scheme of things and since pretty much everyone knows how SEAs currently work, it's something I can live with in the current state.

BTW, I promise not to tell a soul. *wink*

That is kind of a cool idea. It's like we sell the socketed clothing for fairly cheap, or like normaly clothes then someone with an SEA buys the clothing, inserts the SEA and boom sells it for 3,000,000 credits. So we are bascially giving away socketed items when maybe we should be charging alot more for socketed items.

That would require a general tailor agreement. Like a standards of trade commission or something. I'm on Bloodfin the most inflated server ever and tailors need to jack their prices to do so. That's why from my .p.o.v. both would be a good idea and for the second part i like the idea of choosing the stat.

Uhhh, this isn't a money sink. It may be to the player as it's coming out of their pocket - it's not to the game. To be a 'money sink' - it has to go back out of the economy, i.e., you purchased it from an NPC - not into another player's pocket.

In the State of the Profession thing, should one of the things mentioned be about the clothing attachments?

so all of you have millions of dollars to purchuse skill tapes to add to the clothing....

personally it isnt worth my time....

say i collect 4 ploearm related tapes and make a pole arm shirt....i then have to hope that someone who wants pole arm enhancements will want that paticular garment in those paticular colors and it wont interfere with what ever armor they choose to wear....its just more trouble than its worth

i would rather just offer a selection of tapes and let people buy and add the ones they want
