Tailor Archive
Thread: I am convinced that tailors will be obsolete pretty soon.
Mine too. In fact my some of my male guildies have more clothes in game than most women do in rl.

This may come as a shock, but all of my best customers were males—both in and out of game—not female. Vanity knows know gender restrictions.

As long as female players continue to pore into the game, we will always have customer![]()

P.P.S, Szyzgy, that list you posted is completely wrong, lol (I used to merchant for a chef pre-revamp and I'm a big chef customer now), but the point is correct, many many many more useful schematics then there used to be.

Sheesh, this statement is so ridiculous that I really don't even know what to say. Since the chef revamp? Lets just put it this way, chef is one of the very very few professions that has gotten such a total revamp since launch and his been improved so much since then. If 12 months after the chef revamp, you've gotten no more schematicsor fixes, only then would you have cause to complain relative to tailors.
P.S. did I mention how much I hate chefs today?

Just a thought, from a chef/tailor.... Tailors have gotten a lot more love recently than chef's have since the chef revamp.

Tailor's have gotten more love recently? I must have missed that. As a Master Chef/Tailor myself, I can only say this is far from the truth. The Chef revamp totally revitalized the Chef professsion. What did we get? Two dorky hats and an apron :-(. Our lastthree "additions" were wookie armor pillows...er pads, the amount of sockets I was able to produce on an item of clothing nerfed, and a "fix" for an item I wasn't aware that was broken. (Dosh females and grand healer's robes) Where's the love? Are you trying to cite the limited use schematics that require rare loot to make and go *POOF* after three uses? I stand no chance of aquiring these items on my own, so I have to purchase the schematics (and if it's an apron I can learn one at a time and don't know which I got until after I learned it) purchase the subcomponents, and then get yelled at when I ask a rather hefty sum in order to try and recoup the money I just spent aquiring these lovely items. In case you don't see the problem let me break it down this way...
Unwanted schematics (chef gear) + nerfed sockets + invisable "fixes" + being forced to fork out more money for loot items if I want to add to my inventory something that somebody MIGHT be interested in purchasing (LIMITED USE schematics) + being yelled at for needing to sell those items at quite frankly absurd prices = zilch
Whereas
All new schematics (New Foods) + new desgins to the old foods + the ability to offer insanely high stat buffs and charge a mint for it with a smile + a new PERMANENT USE schematic (Mandalorian Wine) = Whole lotta loving.
BTW..can anyone adequately explain to me, why I'm fully capable of making melee weapons and blasters as a Novice artisan, but seem utterly incapable of making something as seemingly mundane as a "Heavy Duty Clasp" as a Master Tailor???

You must realise adding new clothing is not a simple task. Art, getting the animation to look correctly, fitting people of differant sizes, ect is alot of work. Most of the art people are being used in JTL unless I missed my guess. Just keep poking at the Devs and they probably will add more "artsy" stuff after JTL.
Except for the fact that some of the items that we have been asking for (Scout Vest and weird robe) Are already IN THE GAME there's no art work to hammer out, just give us a schematic for these items. this will (maybe help) mollify us in the short term. Other things (hooded cloaks) should have been on their plate a long time ago, and fixes for certain items we've been asking for SINCE DAY ONE! (necklaces) have still not been corrected. The basic point here is that tailors are being ignored and the devs efforts into other proffessions is only adding to how discouraging this is.
